Installed 4 of these in a 25 x 25 room (workshop). Hooked up to a surround sound receiver along with a subwoofer. Sound is good as is the price.

Perfect complimentary "Dolby Atmos" speakers for my Klipsch Reference Premier setup. Installation is at medium DIY level but well worth it. For people interested in Dolby Atmos, I strongly recommend ceiling speakers like these over floor standing combo setup any day. This is what you need.

I'm using these for the L/R surrounds with my other all-Klipsch 7.1 surround speakers (the amp is a Pioneer). They sound great for that purpose and really rounded out my system - it sounds fantastic. I have mounted Klipsch ceiling speakers before and wonder why the mounting screws are designed to be so #$%%@ difficult to turn in the plastic sleeves that hold the mounting brackets. I doubt they would loosen up if a thermonuclear device detonated next to them!! Anyway, you might want to turn them in once and back out before mounting the speaker. It makes it MUCH easier. The grills also are an adventure. You can bend the edges inward a bit without bending the grill if you need to get them in the grooves properly. A+++ for the speakers, D for the unnecessarily difficult installation. But they are Klipsch, so they are worth the sweat.

In the picture my new klipsch is in the foreground and in the background the small one are the old ceiling speakers. They are bigger so I had to enlarge the hole other than that very easily installed and the wire connection is secure and simple. His sound quality is much clearer and the bigger magnet will handle more volume.

I picked up 2 of these speakers during a remodel of my basement, for top middle height channels in a Dolby Atmos home theater setup. I also have them in matching Klipsch ME-650-C speaker enclosures, which are meant to direct the sound downward and muffle it from traveling up through the floor. Also makes installation easier if the enclosure is put in prior to drywall. The speakers were easy to put in the enclosure, you simply attached your speaker wire and tightened 4 mounting screws, then push the grill over the top. They sit nice and flush with the ceiling. If your ceiling is a bright white color like mine, these look a bit off white in comparison, but you can paint them. The sound is quite good for a relatively inexpensive speaker. Atmos means some of your surround sound effects come from overhead, and usually they are fairly subtle. So these aren't being overworked in my setup but they do their job well and the sound that is coming from them seems crisp and clean to me.So for this type of application, I think these are definitely good entry level in ceiling speakers. I have a feeling an enclosure of some kind makes a big difference and you might not get great sound if they were simply mounted in a hole in the ceiling, though.

I have two Klipsch THX 650s in my basement. The sound from these is obviously not on that level but they are still excellent. Very nice mid and high range. Paired with a proper amp and sub they sound amazing. They will not distort at any level if EQ is set properly. They are worth way more than they sell them for!

Just installed two of these in our rear yard patio and they sound VERY good for the price. I'm about as picky as they come when it comes to my speakers. These deliver excellent clarity at low volumes and actually have some bass to them, however note I do have a def tech aw 6500 on the trim line of the patio blasting into the pool. These are a perfect addition for when people are in the patio area. Install was simple, even for this hack. Flush mount looks great and high WAF (wife approval rating).

When I was looking for 2 sets of speakers for my new deck cover, and 4-Season Room, I listened to many speakers. The Klipsch 1650-C won the sound tests for me, but the real test comes when you open the box and discover what you really bought... The Klipsch speakers were obviously well built, and easy to install, with well thought out quality features for easy installation. I was also impressed with the durability of the speakers since I was using these both for inside and outside applications. After the installation, the real test for me was on... How do they sound? Wow! They blew me away. I could not believe the full range ability from such a small speaker, and at low and high volume, with no distortion. The really impressive part for me was the dynamics. The tweeter is outstanding and has stunning clarity. So if you're looking for a a rear or side theater speaker, or just a speaker for patio/deck applications, you won't be disappointed with the Klipsch 1650-C.
