Had to see what the big deal was when you see like 500 to 1000 reviews and it’s like a 4.8 out of five I kind of wanna to find out why everybody loves them so much . Plus I haven’t owned a pair of klispch speaker in years . Missed the horns .(need more cowbell) This 8000f is a listening speaker this is what I was looking for I have many things I play with that’s considered audiophile ( speaker collected nut here) but today’s audiophile sound makes me laugh I just want to say where’s the beef this brings the beef back into the speaker and it doesn’t cost that much I placed mine right next to my pair of revel 208s .I actually prefer listening to the klispch even know you can probably tell that the revel is the better speaker but it’s hard to put a finger on it the klispch doesn’t do everything perfect it just does everything funner . Its like this you kind of tend to stop using your music to play with your equipment and use your equipment to listen to your music with these speakers ,makes it fun . The new 8000 series 2 or out so you can find these series 1 for a good deals I got the piano gloss blacks for around 1000 bucks here on Amazon and threw a coat of McGuire‘s car wax on them they use some type of polyester type don’t quote me but the finish it almost looks like a real life black car automotive finish that’s one of the reason I actually put carnuba wax on them very beautiful just sitting there in the room saying crank me up They don’t need much power they very efficient and work with just about anything I throw on them I ended up keeping them paired with a rotel integrated amplifier and I barely crank it and it’s fills the room nicely. Grab you a pair probably won’t go wrong with these I can see why everybody loves them even some of my stuck up audiophile friends We just sit around like yeah you know just grab some beer crank up some Dire Straits some Metallica maybe some now Snoop Dogg Waylon Jennings Charlie Daniels and the damn thing does knock out some movie soundtracks if you like Hans Zimmer did really good on the Daft Punk Tron soundtrack. Jazz jazz jazz oh yeah saxophones horns lol horns through a horn loaded tweeter . They are big but it’s kind of worth It. In the world of trying to choose speakers with so much and so many out there these days and it’s kinda hard to choose especially when you have everybody on social media trying to tell you how to listen to your music these right here a safe bet and you can get them and listen to your music the way you want to that’s what I like about these They seem to appeal to anybody turn the bass up it sounds good you can turn the bass down it still sounds good you can crank your treble up and blow your windows out you can turn the treble down and whisper , they seem to do everything equally good yes there is better but are they this fun You decide .

These speakers are everything I hoped they would be. Great response: deep clear bass and detailed mids and highs. Smooth, transparent sound in classical and jazz. Exceptional reproduction of vocals for the price. My only quibble are the binding posts which will accept nothing but bare wire and 12 gauge wire barely fits the holes in the posts. They’re also too close together. Made set up a bit more of a process for adult fingers. Still, that process done, the sound is lovely and the piano black finish is perfect.

Replacing ref iv RF 62 that are 13 years old. I like Klipsch sound since the first time I bought a pair of Heresys in the 80s. Can't really compare those speakers to the reference series though. That would be somewhat like comparing apples and oranges. What I can say though is these things have a wonderful sound and even though I always liked the RF 62s they were always lacking. The RP-8000s are not just a step up they are generations of evolution in sound and for the price I don't know that you could find much better. I matched the pair with the RP 504C and actually now use the RF 62s as surrounds and movie sound now is enough to shake the house and the clarity is outstanding. They were made for modern movies. As for music they're excellent as well. The 8" woofers do a great job but 8" is still 8" so ultimately if you enjoy palpable base I recommend a subwoofer. I have two 10" subs. Had one forever then read that two made a big difference so I got another. Well, IMO yes it's better but absolutely necessary no. Then again, if you ever watch the fight scene with Kong vs the three T-Rexs with two subs you almost feel like you're there with Faye Ray :-O

Wow. I'm not sure how else to start this so let's start there. These speakers are amazing.Current setup:Amp - Sony STR DN1080 (very good entry receiver)Sources: Nvidia Shield (Tidal masters and usual streaming services), DSD from NAS, and LDAC Tidal from Note 20 Ultra (990 I made sure it was practically touching)The rest of the speakers are DefTech Procenter 2000, rear DefTech Promonitor 1000s, a second hand yamaha YST-SW012 subwoofer, and Sony SSCSE hight speakers mounted to the wall. Now all of that said, and all of that bass in the marketing for the other speakers, I have more pronounced and deeper fuller tone from just these in stereo, than from my entire 5.1.2 sound system running Neural:X. The first night I had these hooked up, I was going through my usual listening test songs. Norah Jones, Taylor swift, in fact any vocal forward acoustic song sounds as if the singer is in your lap, singing in your ear. Jon Batiste and his band may as well replace the wall in front of me the way these fill a room with rich brass. Crosby, stills, Nash, and young have overtones and harmonies I've only heard on my sennheiser 660s'. Finally we get to where these really shine, classic rock and loud electronic. As you go up in volume (at least on the amp I have) every 10 volume seems to wake the speakers up to a new level of volume. Up until 10 and I can listen comfortably at midnight, but 11 brings out the percussive sound in the weapons on SG-1 that's a bit much for that late. The same is true going from 20 to 21 where suddenly you go from hearing the bass clearly to feeling it as well. Then there's 30 to 31 which I can not in good conscience do while living in an apartment. I had heard people jokingly say that you aren't using your klipsch speakers correctly until you've cracked your drywall. I get it. I really do now. These drivers have an Xmax of about 6mm and at 32 I feared I would have a neighbor kick down my door and the woofers were not visibly moving. But the true miracle of these speakers lies not in their ability to be heard four counties over, but that they don't need to be for the full range of a song to be present. At even a modest listening volume the 98dB sensitivity of these means you get all the highs, and all the lows without the need to run them bi-wired with McIntosh amps, you can get by with a simple Sony a/v.I highly recommend watching Andrew Robinson's review on YouTube as he is able to put the tone of these into far better words than I.Also something I recommend with these if in a second floor apartment is to get small long pile bath mats to put them on. They come with feet that prop them up but the space bellow them produces bass tones into the floor. Adding this rug underneath soaks up most of that and can help with floor vibration. (Though these produce enough sound forward it won't matter when you turn them up)(Also be warned these are huge and heavy and a pain to move.)
