This poncho is a cotton polyester blend. It feels like a regular shirt, not really a beach towel poncho. It’s not super absorbent. It’s also a bit small. I ordered the 5-6 year old size and it fits my 3 year old better.That said, the print is adorable, and I will actually get use out of it (for my 3 year old). I won’t really use it for drying off, but rather for after swimming.

I have a hooded towel for my son when we're at the beach, so I wanted to add to it to have a a few. The design is cute on this and the while the material is very soft, it isn't absorbent at all. It's not really a towel as much as just an easy on off poncho shirt. It is not UV blocking material, so it's not really even useful to protect your kiddo from sun rays. I'm not certain the purpose this poses.
