These have saved me sooooo many times when out on rides. Nothing worse than being in the middle of nowhere with a broken or snapped chain. I always carry a few of these and a chain tool in my bag/pocket just in case. Also perfect for when you need to shorten a chain unexpectedly too (broken mech, hanger, etc..). KMC are my go-to for chains and links over SRAM/Shimano.

This is one of those just buy it products. Here are the highlights:1: They're reusable, unlike Shimano Quicklinks. I clean my chains in a hyper sonic cleaner, and don't want to use a new quick link with every cleaning. I've reused these links more than 4X with no problems.2: The link process is much better than a Shimano. I find the Shimano links difficult to close, despite having the right tools. I never have this problem with the KMC links.

Using a bicycle chain link tool is difficult and especially putting the link back in service. Using the correct KMC chain and Missing link makes the operation simple.

I'm starting to wax my chains, and shimano quick links are technically not reusable, which adds a lot of cost to waxing. these installed just fine, and I like that I can get 5 uses out of them

The links do not lock in place. Can assemble and disassemble with fingers and no resistance. Is this a fake or effective product?

Haven't had to use them....yet and I hope I never do! But, as part of building out the biking "contingency kit" I knew that these were a necessity. Reasonable price, and priceless peace of mind in the event of a chain blowout.
