Upgraded swapped out the chain that came on my specialized roll 2.0 sport. One not this was a few links shorter than what was on their - even though it was supposed to be for a 8 speed (my bike was 7x2). It fits, barely but runs like a dream. Might want to double check the length of chain you need if you're swapping in a 8x2 or 8x3 to be safe. Good luck - well worth it and runs super quiet now!

KMC chains have an excellent reputation, and they’re made in Taiwan, not the PRC. I used this on my rebuild of my 25 year old Rivendell Atlantis, and I’m very happy with the result. This was the first modern chain with speed links I’ve used in building up a bike, and I was very happy with how easy they are to install and remove. Definitely my preferred chain going forward.

I use this chain in conjunction with a 7 speed Sachs Maillard ARIS freewheel and Suntour Sprint 9000 derailleurs on an older bike. With a little cable magic, the Suntour IPS index shifting is as good as Suntour index ever gets. The nickel plating is a nice complement to the nickel-plated freewheel. Be aware, though, that only the outer links are nickel-plated. Inner links are standard grey, so the chain won't withstand corrosion as well as one would like. Despite this, it's still a great choice. Five stars.

Replaced my old, stretched chain with this. (Along with a new derailleur and shifter w/cable) It's super quiet and everything works great. Don't forget to get a chain tool if you are installing yourself!

Replaced an ancient chain (actually three of them, since this is on a recumbent) and couldn't be happier. Shifting is excellent. (Good news, bad news, this one is slightly wider and caused a slight ticking. Turns out the chain was fine, but close inspection showed the derailleur cage was slightly bent. Fixed that, and now it's quieter in addition to being more efficient.

I had to replace my rear derailleur with a long cage to accommodate an 11-40t Shimano cassette I wanted to install. So, I decided to replace the chain as well. Based on my research, the KMC X8.93 8 sp chain came in with top ratings. I used different search engines to do my research. After installing all the components, I noticed the chain performs well. It is quiet and shifts exceptionally well. I have ridden nearly 100 miles since installation and am satisfied with the chain.

Decent product, no complaints, easy to install and remove with the power link, personally like it better than comparable SRAM. Ultimately, it's all down to price - unless you go for a wild CN no-name, all 8sp chains are roughly the same
