Installed on my 2003 Thunderbird. Easy install but for $300 the instructions should have color pictures. Every hole lined up fit as it should. Sounds great, minor increase in sound at steady state, but floor it and it sounds like the old days of opening up the secondaries on a four barrel carb. More power feel, or feels more powerful. Maybe one or two extra MPG around town, four or five on highway. I'm happy with it.

I knew I would like the end result, and I do.The instructions were inadequate. There is a better set online, but I didn't have my laptop. (Don't even start about my phone) As I said, some of the parts and hoses just don't fit without extreme effort.Wonderful growl. I have no idea if mileage or horsepower has improved but I like it.

Fits my ‘06 Lincoln LS, like was said in a previous review. Definitely fits, looks great, sounds excellent, and drives amazing. Took longer to put together than I had thought. Was a bit of a bugger getting it on with all the bolts and nuts but totally worth it!

Despite Amazon's fitment guide and K&N's product description this item will also fit Lincoln LS without any modification (since LS and T-Bird are identical under the hood). The sound is fantastic and I felt the increased power on the first test drive. The kit looks awesome under the hood, like it was meant to be there all along. Only flaw is the hoses K&N supplies for evap vent and PCV are each one size too small. The factory evap hose is bigger and fits better but I used white lithium to get it on. I will probably replace the PCV hose with a bigger size also, but I forced the supplied hose on for now. Be careful removing the PCV fitting on the valve cover end as it is easily broken especially if you don't disconnect it before removing the air filter lid (as the previous owner/mechanic did for mine). I finished the project with the red Drycharger wrap RC-5106DR which fits nicely around the filter and completes the look.

Directions were sub par, everything arrived but the actual air tube is damaged. I am unable to select replace items. The port for a vacuum tube was manufactured wrong and there is a huge hole in it. Need a new tube. Please contact me to replace tube and I will rate 5 stars.

I purchase the intake for my 2004 Thunderbird. The product showed up timely and in good condition. Aside from a few screws missing, everything was there for the installation. However, the included vacuum hoses were difficult to impossible to fit and I had to purchase adapter fittings to make things work, thus the 3 stars. That done however, the unit performs as advertises! The engine has a nice growl when I punch it, but is otherwise as quiet as stock under normal driving conditions. I can say the car has performed well with this intake, but there is no noticeable performance increase. Perhaps a free flowing exhaust would help bring out all 7HP potential at WOT.

I ordered this Air intake for a 2005 50th anniversary Thunderbird mainly because the OEM air box is located is a manner that it is virtually impossible to change air filters, or at least its very difficult. The K&N intake eliminates that problem as well as adding noticeable performance (don't know about fuel mileage yet). This air intake along with my Flow master exhaust really makes the Thunderbird go. The installation will probably take longer than the 90 min estimate unless you have installed a few before. I spent about 2.5 hours on mine, but I did take the opportunity to do some cleaning after the old intake was removed and I also had do some rerouting of wiring, but once you figure out the relative perspective of the pictures in the instructions you should not have much trouble with the installation. I gave the K&N 5 stars because of the high quality of their products and the availability of replacement air filters, should they be needed. I would highly recommend this product if you want better performance, easy maintenance, and just a cool looking addition to your engine.

I am very pleased with this kit. I was looking to give my 2004 Lincoln LS V8 a little more kick and this kit did the trick. I am kind of car savvy, but no expert. This took me around 1.5 hours to install, mainly due to unclear instructions. Nothing is too difficult otherwise, it just requires the time to put the puzzle together of how everything fits best.I immediately noticed a sound and performance difference once installed. The deep growl under increased acceleration is noticeable at any speed, and I think it sounds awesome! I don't appreciate too much of a whine at higher RPMs that other reviewers of these types of kits have mentioned. I may be psyching myself into it, but I do notice a performance difference as well, which is always appreciated. I wish I could comment more on if it is giving me better gas mileage, but due to me wanting to accelerate more quickly and more often, I am getting worse mileage overall, which of course is my fault.I recently coupled this with a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system: , which it does help my car sound and perform even better given the higher flow tubing and mufflers. IF I were to choose one over the other, I would go with the intake as it is a much better value with possibly even more performance and fuel efficiency than the much more expensive exhaust kit.I am so pleased, I plan on installing these intake kits on all of my future cars.
