Put it on a 350 with Whipple charger in my Jeep YJ. Looks pretty good. Filter is 14 inches of typical K&N quality. Supercharger intake is 4" diameter and this filter fits snug. No risk of it falling off when clamped. This is a big filter, make sure you have living space under the hood and a 4" intake to mount it on and you won't be dissapointed.

Although I haven't currently received my filter from Amazon, I've had a K&N model 880 filter on my '98 Dodge Ram for about 6 or 7 years now. (This one will just be a spare.) My truck has the Cummins TurboDiesel engine, and is a little bit modified. Under heavy acceleration, the turbocharger's boost peaks at about 35PSI. That corresponds to a large amount of suction coming thru the filter. I've never had evidence of anything getting thru the filter. No dings on the compressor blades. No silicates in the oil-test samples. The only caveats (at least for my kind of application) are these. First, the collar needs to be shored-up from the inside. A 1" long piece of 4" tubing can be slipped inside the collar to serve this purpose. Second, the rubber endcap at the other end of the filter tends to flex(remember, 35PSI in the manifold means a huge amount of air being moved thru the filter). I fixed this with two large-diameter fender washers, a small nut and bolt, and a big blob of silicone rubber. Voila! A rigid endcap.Cleaning and maintenance. Follow the directions, right there in the kitchen sink, but do it while the wife's not looking. These filters hold an ASTOUNDING amount of sand and dust, while still flowing a lot of air.I like this filter. Like I stated above, this one will be a spare, to be rotated onto the truck while the other is drying out during a cleaning and re-oiling cycle.Rich M.Las Vegas,NV....home of the dust and grit.
