La tapa de atras no es de aluminio. Es de plástico y la de plástico es más barata yo paque por la de aluminio que es más cara y me mandaron la de plástico qué es más barata. Muy decepcionado del vendedor.

just installed this on my 1996 f250 5.8, fits well in the original location just had to make some small adjustments. the inside diameter is the same as the intake tubes on the truck so you just need a coupler to go inside to connect them together.

Installation of this air filter has made a major improvement on the performance of the 1995 F-150 XLT 5.8. The engine sounds different at idle and under load. It was very noticeable that it was breathing much better on the 1st test drive. Gas mileage has improved, but the power change is unbelievable. Noticed before purchasing that there maybe an issue with the diameter of the filter and factor air tubes being the same size. Added picture on a durable, sturdy and quick fix. Campbell's Chunky Soup cans are the perfect size to be used as an adapter and gives you allot of surface area to work with. Laminated the paper labels and added them to the cans for fun. Gets allot of comments from people.

Amazon's "Fits - Doesn't Fit" deal said it fit my 93' F150. The intake pipe size is the same size as the pipe, so one does not fit into the other. i had to take the old filter box and saw off stock pipe mounts or whatever and use that in the K&N Filter. i was pretty disappointed that i couldn't plug and play.However.Starting my truck was a difference between a smoker and a none smoker coming up for air. There is no more lag when i put on the gas. Acceleration is fantastic. the stock intake was holding it back. 4 stars because i had to do my own engineering to make it work. but i am happy with the results.

This thing is worth every penny. A bit hard to install because it's "universal" but with 1 trip to the hardware store and $10 later, I was done. I was doing 0-60 times in my 95 bronco ( I know, I know funny right?) AND I was consistently getting around 11 sec. After the installation it shaved 1 second off. That doesn't sound like much but it really is. And you really can hear quite a bit of difference too. The engine actually sounds alive even with stock exhaust. I figure, after the slight bit of fuel savings, and the fact that this is the last filter I'll ever buy for this vehicle, this k&n will pay for itself in less than 2 years. Let's hope the rest of the truck makes it that long.

This product arrived in good shape, and exactly as described...however Amazon's tool that tells customers what parts fit which vehicle failed me on this one.I bought this air filter for a 1995 Ford F-250, 7.5L EFI, and this filter will not fit into my truck unless I: 1) permanently remove the current, stock air filter box, 2) buy or make adapters to go between the intake hoses and the ends of the filter. I really wan't anticipating this being any more than a "drop-in" job...To keep the stock intake housing you need to purchase a K&N 33-2023 (flat filter), which is recommended by the K & N website for this truck, but ironically enough, not recognized as a compatible filter by amazon. Conversely, K&N's website doesn't suggest this air filter for my truck....wish I knew that before I placed my order. Fix your compatibility tool, amazon!!

Great addition to my 1991 F150 with the 302. THIS WILL NOT JUST HOOK UP. You need an adapter to use at the filter end of the intake hoses. I just made spacers and slid them into the filter (openings are very large) and that worked fine for me. Sounds good and boosts the 'seat of your pants' feel. Also eliminated having the breather filter right next to the air filter, which is nice since mine decides to kick up some oil every so often!

Filter is as advertised, it was also the best price I have been able to find and the free shipping was great also.This is the second one I have bought and have nothing but good to say about the filter or shipping (2days earlier than promised). Amazon has yet to let me down.
