I was first introduced to Knipex products years ago, when living in Europe at the time.These are tough tools, able to take a real beating. I still have a couple pairs of pliers that have to be at least 20 years old and working fine, no rust... no slop or play in the hinges. Still grip perfectly. I'd put these up against anything made out there.With a lifetime guarantee, I've yet to have to send one of these back to the factory for repair or replacement.I would say that the quality of their tools are fantastic and I've recommended them to people across the years.Expensive? Yes - but you really DO GET what you pay for. I fully expect my collection of Knipex tools to outlast me, with proper care like oiling them once in a while.These double-angle pliers I've wanted for a bit. They are great for getting into troublesome spaces, or when what you're trying to reach is partially blocked by some protrusion.Knipex makes a huge range of pliers and cutters, so visit their website if you're unsure about what you want or if you just love tools. I'm very happy with these, actually kind of surprised that Amazon would have such a specialty-type of pliers listed. Bravo.Bottom line: These cost twice as much as other tools I'm sure, but they'll last FOREVER - while the cheaper branded tools will fall apart in a year or 5. I have never been disappointed saving a bit for a Knipex tool, while listening to other people complain about fast their Husky's grew a layer of rust or their Kobalt's fell apart unscrewing an over-tightened pill bottle.There's some really bad stuff out there. Save your pennies and buy quality. It doesn't have to be a Knipex - but I'd definitely do some research on the brand you're thinking of buying and get a couple reviews in.Especially with prices of things nowadays... most certainly get your money's worth.

I ordered this and was excited to have my first pair of knipex pliers. I bought these based off of last best tool's review and the pliers don't look proper. I saw other reviews saying the same thing, not sure if I should return and try again.

I just opened the box excited for a new set of pliers. As others have mentioned the machining on nose is very poor, and not up to Knipex quality. It is not even up to Pittsburg quality. As far as durability it is probably fine, but I plan on returning. If you want one buy it off the shelf so you can see what you are buying.

Odd shape. Reaches around bolts and nuts for setting cotter pins or picking things up. Not everyday use but perfect when needed.

2 stars. The jaws are bent and not machined, resulting in distortion. Mine also jam up in certain positions, but are totally free moving otherwise. Definitely not my favorite Knipex pair; despite how cool it looks in the picture. Work wise, okay for gentler and more delicate tasks; uncomfortable tiny handles. They could definitely be made better...
