I'm using exclusively for aluminum. Seems to be fine quality and a very reasonable price.

After about 8 maybe 9 or so 3/4" plunge cuts in 7075 aluminum the end mill was gone. The classic rounding off of cutting points with sub standard material. Price point would lead you to believe otherwise but don't be fooled. This purchase was very disappointing and I didn't find out until after return window had closed 3 weeks earlier. $30.00 price tag with $8.00 performance and claims to be made in USA, I don't think so. Lazy online shopping finally got me!

It's what you need to use if you are completing an AR 80% lower.Great bit!! just the right length and diameter.. The advantage of Carbide bit in addition to strength, is that the cutting diameter and the shank are the same size, so if you are following a jig, you won't cut something different. This is good for aluminum. The length of this bit is critical if you are using the AR jig as it gives you enough to fit in the collet & still clear the buffer tube threads and get the depth you need.Used on 7075 and 6061 alum

Bit showed up quickly but had excessive run out. For the project I bought it for, it served it's purpose but went straight to the trash can when I was done simply because it was so out of round/too much wobble that created unnecessary chatter.Definitely look elsewhere if you have a precision project needing milled. No I didn't bother putting an indicator on it to check to see just how much run out it had, but it wobbled terribly.

Although I have yet to use this product it is apparent that it is an excellent end mill. I expect that this product will have a long service life. Unless I decide to cut diamonds with it. Then all bets are off:-))

The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because I have not yet had the opportunity to use it for the purpose for which it was purchased.

The edge chipped the first time I used it. I was cutting aluminum, so should have been no problem for a carbide cutting tool. Very disappointed.
