Rebuilt my Kohler CV16S motor on my 20 year old Craftsman riding mower. Needed this gasket. I ordered last year but dummy me forgot a bolt and it sprayed oil everywhere. So, this year I decided to do it right. Ordered another gasket and new carb, since old one was the OEM carb and dead. Gas leaked into oil... it was bad... very bad. Lemons and lemonade as they say. Since the gasket wasn't creased I decided to push forward and bite the proverbial bullet. On to the next project!!

My mower’s carb came apart and the shaft for the butterfly got sucked into the piston. I removed the head and found it had been slamming around on the piston and beat the head up pretty good. No holes in the piston or head so I took a chance and just cleaned it up and replaced the head gasket. Put it all back together with a new carb and spark plug and fires it right up. Mower runs good now and it’s now low on power so the new head gasket sealed up nicely. Very pleased with my purchase.
