Loved the design and was hoping we could use with batteries, as the listing indicated. Had to be connected to power, even without the sensor feature. Returned.

Worked great....for 2 months...Woke up one morning and my cabinets were smelling burned plasic...the power went out, I had to go manually...I'm trying to find a way to get it repaired, but It's not plug in easy...therefore I would'nt recommend buying this product online...or in fact even in a store (The Delta Faucet which you need to touch seems a better buy...had I known..)Very costly for a 2 month run

This pull-down tap is fantastic and the magnetic docking system works very well. The tap is expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for with this model ! To have it hard-wired and not be concerned with changing batteries every year was worth the increased cost to us. We chose the stainless finish (not chrome). It looks very tasteful and does not leave fingermarks which is definitely an added bonus. Great purchase !!

The faucet I received was not stainless steel but polished Chrome . I've written asking about a replacement but have heard nothing .

Love this faucet! It is such an improvement on my old touch faucet. This faucet looks, feels, and acts high end. I guess it ought to for what it usually sells for. I did lots of research before deciding on the Sensate. There is only one sensor, which turns out to be a good thing. My plumber said that some of the faucets with top sensors can be set of by exterior passing lights, which would be an issue in my house. I considered the Moen, but I didn't like the fact that the temperature control was under the sink. What's the point of that?! How inconvenient! The Kohler is simple and works well and everything is at your fingertips or done with a wave of your hand. I love the fact that this faucet plugs in rather than being battery operated. I also particularly love the sweep spray. It makes cleaning the sink so easy! That may not be an issue for everyone, but I had a custom soapstone sink built that is 38 inches across and 20 inches wide and the sweeping water makes it so much easier to push things toward the drain than the old round spray did.

Wow! This faucet is fantastic! The auto on/off feature is very addictive. Both my wife and I now find ourselves waving our hands under faucets in other people's homes to attempt to turn on the water as it just seems more natural and convenient to do. The placement of the sensor under the curve of the neck is ideal; just wave your hand underneath the neck and the water turns on or off. The faucet also has a feature that if the water runs for four minutes it will automatically turn off (good to know if you have a curious wandering cat). The installation was fairly easy; I installed the faucet myself. I replaced a three-hole faucet so I had to purchase the Kohler adapter plate assembly to cover the other two holes. My only complaint is that there were no instructions with the adapter plate so I had to guess how the extra parts fit together, but otherwise, the instructions that came with the faucet itself were very useful and easy to follow. The new sweeping spray feature is awesome. I don't know why Kohler doesn't advertise it more readily, but it really makes a difference. The spray focuses the water into a straight line so it works like a broom to sweep away particles of food on plates or cleans the sides of the sink; it is much more effective than a circular spray. The extra height of the faucet is very nice for filling larger pots, etc. However, I found that until I re-learned how to place the items that I'm rinsing that I would splash more than usual. Holding the item to be rinsed closer to the nozzle fixed the issue. The faucet provides more water pressure than the faucet I replaced so I find that I don't have to set the lever too far in the 'on' position to get good water flow. The valve is very smooth when you rotate it in either direction (back/forth and in/out).The solenoid that turns the water on and off is quiet enough that you barely hear it; I wondered about whether or not that would be a problem prior to purchase, but it is not an issue at all. Now, if only I could get Kohler touchless bathroom fixtures ...

When we started our kitchen renovation, we were getting tired of making choices. When it came to the main sink faucet, we looked around and every faucet began to look alike after a while. I always wanted a touchless faucet - just seemed like a cool thing to have but had heard horror stories of the sensor not working well and also the short battery life in most of these devices. Finally I came across this faucet and decided to buy it since it claimed to connect to 110V and did not need batteries. It also claimed to have a sensitive sensor. When the faucet arrived, it just looked beautiful out of the box. Very stylish. There were many parts but my installer had no troubles installing it. The sensor works perfectly EVERY time, it doesn't test your patience like some of those airport faucets! It's so nice not to have to touch the faucet when you have some meat or chicken or other food stuff on your hands. The flow and the temperature are set by the position of the handle. You can't change those things when you don't want to touch the faucet. If you need different temperature settings every time, you may not enjoy the faucet since you will end up touching the handle as much as the normal faucet. The other thing I noticed was that in case of electricity failure, the faucet will not turn on. This can be a problem if this is the only faucet in your kitchen... but I suppose you won't be cooking in a dark kitchen if electricity fails. I could be wrong on this point but I really think the faucet needs to be connected to live electric circuit to make it work. The pull-out feature -- when you pull out, it will not retract by itself like some other faucets do. The magnet holds it in place but won't pull it back so you need to stuff the tube back in manually. This is for information only and not necessarily a critique or any hardship.Overall, a fantastic faucet with millisecond response; very reliable and extremely stylish. It's a conversation piece for sure. It will spoil you enough that you will start waving your hand under every faucet and will wonder why water never came out!
