Why torture yourself with a socket that doesn’t hold the spark plug? If you work on anything that is recessed at all this is the way. The retention is metal too so it should last a very long time.

Wasn't a believer but since I was going to a blouch 1.5xtr, 1050x injectors and 1 step colder plugs I figured I would make my life easier the 2nd time around of changing plugs. I managed to swap out all the plugs in under 30 minutes whereas before with u-joints/swivel sockets and extensions, it took me over an hour.This socket + a 3" extension and a 3/8 ratchet is the perfect length to get to spark plug unlike before where it was either not enough length to reach my ratchet, or too much length and I end up hitting the frame with the ratchet. I also don't have the issue of the spark plug coming out of the socket while it's in the cylinder head when removing and installing.This was most useful dealing with the sparkplug closest to the driver side firewall (cylinder 4 I believe) as that one has the least amount of clearance from the engine to the firewall.

Slimmer than my Pittsburgh 5/8. Grips spark plug sockets better as well. Phenomenal quality. Was skeptical at the price but it was worth every penny. I would buy again.

friction grip on spark plug hex section instead of magnet that collect grit or rubber sleeves that can slide off onto the plug after install. Holds spark plug firmly for removal and installation. Thin wall design made to fit deep spark plug tubes.
