My thirteen-year-old loves the game, and I love to see him play holding nothing back. If baserunning is an art, the slide is final brushstroke. The padding in these shorts make a world of difference during the slide. When players can hit the dirt at full stride without tensing up in fear of and uncomfortable landing or bruising, they’re free to focus on dodging the tag and hitting that bag.I picked a pair for my son a few years ago, and he hasn’t played a game without them sense. And fans will appreciate the cup pocket. Holds everything in place. No constant adjustment necessary. Haha

These are a very solid pair of sliding shorts for softball. They are comfortable, the thickness of the material and cushion is wonderful. They fit nice and tight, but have enough stretch to them so give you the ability to move freely.

Just a caution-- these sliding shorts run VERY SMALL. I selected the same size that I have ordered in other sliding shorts and these are much, much tighter than any of the other major brands (Nike, Under Armor, Easton). They appear to be quality made and the padding amount is just right and in all the right places. I do prefer the built in cup holder (I did not try it, but it might be a tight fit for a full sized adult cup. Unfortunately, due to the fit, I will be unable to wear these. If I were to order again, I would go up one or maybe even two sizes (yes, they are that small).

It's hard to find sliding/pitching shorts that come with a good size cup. I will say this one comes with a cup much larger than the majority of the other ones I have bought I the past but still, a bit too small for the bigger guys. However, it is pretty flexible, yet still durable for protection, comfortable, and stays in place after sliding. The shorts fit true to size and provide a comfortable amount of padding. This doesn't come in a gift able box or bag, but you could always throw it in one of your own and it would make a good gift for an adult softball or baseball player.

I used the chart and ordered a large as I fall directly in the middle of the L. I could barely get these on and there is no way I am actually getting a cup in there afterwards.
