I've purchased only one other set of "double dice" (from a different manufacturer) and the smaller dice inside was too big to roll around on the inside- no matter how hard I shook it around.THESE, however- roll great! You will get varied number combinations from each die, as is it's intent. I will recommend shaking it first before you roll each time in order to get the smaller die to vary. But they're very handy. I use them in D&D, because my weapon deals 2D6 damage. So intead of rolling 2 dice, I can just roll one of these. Very nifty, and a cool thing to have if you collect dice.

As a teacher I use these die to differentiate instruction from PreK to 3rd grade. So that would cover, counting, addition, subtracting, multiplication, and division. They're cute too so the kids love to use them.

FUN & PERFECT for the classroom. Its a great tool to use for Math games such as Roll & Cover and Bump. Each student gets 1 die and then can work on either addition / subtraction or multiplication / division. The kids LOVE THEM!!!

I have been a teacher for 15 years. I have used these for over 12 years regularly along with many of my associates. Sometimes the outside plastic comes unglued but super glue puts them right back together. My students love to use these when playing Math games. I have certainly got my moneys worth with the first set I bought and I am still using them, but wanted a few more to use in class.
