How To Care For A Brand New Korean Stone Bowl When Using It For The First Time
1. wipe it with a soft cloth and detergent.
2. dry it with a clean, soft cloth and add some rice or flour and water (up to 3/4 of the capacity of the pot), or you can just use milk instead;
3. boil until the liquid turns into a paste, then let it cool naturally, repeating the boiling and cooling process 2 or 3 times. (Allow the ceramic to fully absorb the cooking consistency, it will last longer!)
4. Clean and dry again. The ceramic bowl is now ready to use!

I'm very happy with my purchase! I spent a long time researching all the options online and reading reviews before finally choosing this one. This is my first Dolsot, so I don’t have another one to compare it with, but it’s identical to those used in restaurants. The size is suitable for 1.5 to 2 people —slightly larger than an individual portion. The quality is there; it’s thick and heavy enough to stay stable on the stove while cooking. I’ve used it twice, and it heats up fairly quickly. The two handles are really convenient for carrying it to the table, eliminating the need for a hot pot grip. The lid has a hole for steam cooking. I find it super versatile, high-quality and user-friendly for the price. Fun extra: the cutlery kit!Don't forget to season it before first use to ensure its durability! You can find instructions online or on this page. I wouldn’t recommend putting it in the dishwasher, as that would remove the seasoning —plus, it’s extremely easy to clean with just water.Note that it does not come with a care and specifications manual. There’s no additional information online besides the Amazon page. It’s not specified whether it works with induction, and I haven’t tested it. I use mine on a portable gas stove. Otherwise, it’s compatible with all types of stovetops, oven-safe, and microwave-safe. However, I would recommend using a heat diffuser or a stainless steel rack on a glass-ceramic stovetop to avoid direct, uncontrolled heat (which helps with the pot’s long-term durability and avoids scratching your stovetop). Always place it on a burner with a surface larger than its base. Additionally, the bottom of the pot is not flat. The base measures approximately 5" in diameter, so make sure it fits your stove.

I purchased this pot after eating at a Korean restaurant with my partner. We enjoyed the food so much that we wanted to recreate our experience at home. The pot was a huge success.The size was a little larger than I expected, but that made it perfect for sharing.

The plastic trivet arrived broken. Not worth my time to take it somewhere to return. It was packaged well but for some reason it was broken.

I've been on a Korean food kick lately, and most definitely a clay pot kick lol so I'm excited to have this pot for my dishes. This is a decent sized pot, not too big but not incredibly tiny either. It can hold up to 1.2 liters. The uncoated pot with the lid helps to really develop the flavor of the food cooked in it.It's easy to clean, and I appreciate that this pot came with spoons and metal chopsticks as well!
