Just got this hoop today and started hooping. I watched a tutorial online of how to hoop with a weighted hoop, and I had heard from a friend who has this hoop, that you may get some bruises in the beginning, so wear close fitting clothes to begin with. So, I was prepared! I was kinda nervous, but then I got it on the first try!!! It’s so much fun, that I put on some music and hooped till I had to stop and catch my breath. :D I don’t feel like I've gotten bruised, but more like a good ab massage. The inside edges of the hoop are like rubbery bulges with some magnetic pieces here and there under the rubber. They aren’t hard, but rather squishy rubber. BTW, I’m a grandmother, so I would recommend this for all adults. :D I'm so excited to have this new exercise hoop! Looking forward to using it daily! Woohoo! :D

I was a bit skeptical about the weight of this product. I wanted something not very light and not too heavy because I'm a medium-level user. After I tried I understood this is exactly what I was looking for. I recommend it to people with some skills, but not to beginners. Overall - I love it.

Was told about hula hooping by my mother in law as a great tool to help loose belly fat. I didn’t know how to really hula hoop but ordered and gave it a try. It took a couple of days to get the hang of it, and at first it was a bit uncomfortable but now I can hula hoop in both directions! I do it everyday watching TV and I think it has totally helped! I actually really enjoy my time. At first it felt a bit heavy but now it’s super light. Thinking I might order a heavier one...

The reason I chose this health hoop was for my wife who has been being bored and killing the time at home during Covid-19. She gained 8lb those days and needed to exercise something indoor. Fortunately I came across the health hoop at Amazon and pick it up for my wife. First time I didn’t care much for what she was playing with it, but I was freaked out that my wife lost 4lb after the workout with it for only 10 days. She has done it about 1 hour as soon as she wakes up and exercised 1 hr more before sleep. We are very satisfied with this. I assure that the health hoop gave us kind of motivation for the health as well as fun for the exercise. At the moment I am also enjoying it.

It came quickly and was easy to assemble. The first couple of times i used it, the ridges were uncomfortable. I learned that if I use it with a waist trainer, or high waisted tights, it wasn't so bad. After a few times, it stopped bothering me. No pain, no gain... and I'm all about gains! Great, fun way to get in some cardio. I break a sweat after 5 minutes. Good for core and back strength, but also works my quads. Sometimes I use with my arms for a great arm/shoulder workout.Great purchase. Worth the money.

Bought this for my wife and she loves it. Our boys are also using it for conditioning as well. Takes some getting used to because of its weight, but you just need to stick with it.

Pros: heavy and large hoola hoop, would be ideal if it had a smooth inner surface so it doesn’t bruise the individual trying to benefit from device.Cons: inner part of hoola hoop has bumpy ridges which I thought might benefit the abs, but it ended up bruising me and my sister’s torsos and it REALLY hurts, especially if you don’t have extra cushioning on your body. I got wildly bruised up and my body is so sore now. Will return this hoola hoop for a regular one which is still heavy. This also is not worth the price.

It’s bigger than I thought. Which was fine. I’m glad I got the heavier set as I do want to break a sweat. The bumps hurts a little when you start, but you get used to it. I haven’t used it consistently so I haven’t seen a noticeable difference. I’m pretty fit already, but have a weak core....I use it about 10 min straight. My core feels a bit tightened. I do like it better than sit ups. Overall, it’s good for the price.
