We ended up trimming this to fit along the side of the door to protect the door from our dog bells. For those that are not dog owners, the dog learns to ring the bells hanging on the door when they need to go outside to do their business. It is great but our dog gets quite impatient and smacks the bells which were starting to scratch our door. This white kickplate is the perfect color and disappears into the door, also hiding our door damage. Unlike other kick plates that are metal, this was a different material that we thought would be safer for our pup but the edge is still a little sharp. But if you are looking to protect your white door from any kind of damage, but don’t want the metal look, this is perfect for whatever size you need.
