It kept the gravy hot the whole Thanksgiving meal time. It even started to boil slightly which was impressed It got that hot. The handle stayed cool to the touch and was very easy for all to pour. Already recommended it to my coworker because we were so impressed!

I gave this to my daughter for her Thanksgiving table. It holds about two cups of gravy. It looked beautiful on the table. It kept the gravy hot and did not burn the bottom since we used a tea light and didn't leave the candle burning for more than an hour. I am very pleased with this purchase.
