I drink two mates per day for the last 15 years. I know a thing or two about what makes a good yerba. This is the one. This is the only one that doesn't clog my straw, unlike Playadito. Recommended to pass it to a large glass jar and always shake well before use so that yerba powder doesn't settle in the bottom, which makes those last brews undrinkable.

I am more than happy with this product, I have heard that some tea leaves are better than others. I had never even heard of this stuff until a Polish man introduced it to me - now I am happily living the Yerba Mate life!!! I am embracing the South American tradition in the UK and am very pleased that it has now become integrated (not just culturally or spiritually!) into my morning regime. But all jokes aside, I think this is a wonderful product and it doesn't make me jittery at all. I would only have 1-2 cups (gourd size) a day as it has enough caffeine to last me all day, I find this stuff is very energising and it enhances my concentration that remains at a consistent pace. (Saves the coffee caffeine crash that I used to get, although I do still enjoy indulging in a coffee still every so often). Just make sure you remember that these leaves should last a while as they are reusable. You are supposed to fill the gourd up 3/4 full, but you don't have to do that if you don't want to depending on whether or not you like it strong or if you want to reuse the leaves. Fill it at your own discretion, people do it differently. If I have 1-2 sized gourd cups a day, and fill 3/4 full of Yerba, I keep using this for 2-3 days depending on how strong the Yerba is. I like it quite strong. * I don't find this Yerba leaf bitter at all, although each to their own, right? Some might be more bitter than others, but this one doesn't taste bitter at all to me. * Tip, make sure you're more careful about measuring if its in a caffatire (French press), but there are excellent YouTube videos on how to make Yerba if you're new to the stuff. Highly recommend!

I have had mate since I was a kid and have tried different yerbas. We truly enjoy this one. Very friendly, flavorful but without the punch or acidity/bitterness of other yerbas. We'll stay wth this one for a while.

I have been trying to find a good tasting mate that has no digestive cancer risk attached to it. Smoked foods, including mate, can markedly increase the risk of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, an especially deadly, mostly untreatable cancer due to the PAH content of the smoke used in the drying process. Most unsmoked or air dried mate tastes pretty bad. This is the ONE unsmoked mate that is truly a pleasure to drink. So happy I found this!

This is what we drink when sick. Two tablespoons make 8 cups of tea in a coffee maker. I use a coffee filter. This had been used in other countries for hundreds of years. It really works and you can add milk etc to it.
