This product is great it does what it is intended to do in fact I was in a rush one day and forgot it was on my rear tires of my motorcycle I went to ride off got about 2 feet then it threw me off the lock barely had any damage so it holds up very well and will not let someone ride off with your bike

I lost a key. I wanted the free replacement and could not get it. I gave them the key number and they sent me to the page to buy the keys. Keys are $12 each or 2 for $20. Kinda expensive. Thus the deduction of a star. Love the heft and ease of using the lock. But be careful with your keys. The advertised free keys sure didn’t work for me.

I had my bike chained up with some solid locks but used this as a rear wheel lock through the frame and gear. Front locks were sawed through seemily with no issue but this lock stayed in place and caused the theif to abandon the bike and run. A lifesaver!

Not sure how much I can contribute here, but it is definitely a big, robust lock. It is surprisingly lightweight, but still seems solid. No, I have not taken an angle grinder to it, and my lock picking skills are not up to par for a proper test so I can't comment on actual security, but I feel it is a good match for my Schlage 12MM cinch chains. It is plenty to keep from being an easy target.I also appreciate it comes with 3 keys.

I bought this lock specifically to use as the locking link for a Schlage 12mm cinch-ring security chain. As with most Kryponite locks, it is tough and well made.This Kryptonite/Schlage chain combo is primarily for securing our mountain bikes on my truck during one of those bike trips that I end up parking and leaving the truck at public places for an errand or something. Keep in mind though, this or any other brand of lock/chain combo isn’t foolproof where you lock your bike on a lamppost and leave it overnight on the street. To a determined thief there’s no such thing as an unbreakable lock or chain.That being said, this lock/chain combo should be tough enough and prove to be difficult for a thief to make a quick steal of your bike, especially if it’s on a visible high-traffic location. The combo is also intimidating enough to discourage these criminals and look for a target elsewhere.

Good lock, big and thick. I like how when you turn the key in the lock, the 2 pieces just fall apart. I have a brand new 2020 Honda Goldwing Tour DCT, so I need the best security I can get. I'm using one on the spoke of my mag wheel, and chained to the fence, and another identical lock on the front brake disc. I understand, Kryptonite will give you some money if your bike is stolen. All in all a great lock... worth the expense.

I purchased this along with a Schlagle Loop Chain beacuse it was cheaper to purchase separately than to buy a set. Also, my motorcycle's brake discs aren't cross drilled so the more compact disc locks aren't an option. It works well, I'm able to run it through the small gaps between the brake disc and hub. Then, I run it through a link on the loop chain, which I have cinched around a pole set in concrete. Et voilá, my motorcycle is now more inconvenient to steal (hopefully more inconvenient than other bikes in the area.) I like that the lock is red, it reminds me it's there and makes evident that would-be thieves should look elsewhere. The light on the key is handy, since I get off around 3am. My only complaint is, sometimes it takes a little extra force to push the bale into the lock. Also, strong as it is, it's a little too heavy to take in your backpack. I just leave mine in my locker at work (the bike goes in the garage when I'm home.)

This is a very strong lock. I trust my very expensive cutom bikes to it. It would be hard to get this much security without spending quite a bit more. I was only going to give it 4 stars because it is not perfect. It is pickable by someone with the right knowledge and the right tool and inside, the part that holds all the important parts, is plastic. If it were even zinc, it would be much better. But for the money, it deserves 5 stars. Now for the interesting part, I have this lock and the New York lock of the same size. They are identical except for the shackle is 1mm larger on the New York version. 14mm versus 15mm. But the evolutiion is almost $30 dollars cheaper which is a much better bargain. So get the evolutiion and save yourself some serious cash. I included 2 pics, one of the lock body and one of the internal parts to show that they are exactly the same. The one on the right is the Evolution internals (the locking pawls fell out so are not in the body but are the same as the New York lock pawls on the left).

This is an awesome disc lock for motorcycles! It's small enough to be carried around easily, but burly enough to look and feel solid when locked on the bike. I use it to attach my chain to the bike in bad parts of town, and I also use it just by itself when I'm on the go and don't want to carry a chain. I like the yellow color because it's bright enough to act as a deterrent, in addition to making my bike more of a pain in the rear to steal. It comes with three keys (one lighted) and all work great, plus it has a unique serial number so you can have new keys made in case these are lost. The lock mechanism is smooth and easily accessible (a BIG plus if you've ever messed with disc locks before) and I just lube it every couple weeks and it been quiet and efficient. The shackle is nice and wide, so it will fit around most discs on most bikes and still have space to add a chain, but its also very thick (good for resisting cutting) but trouble if your disc has only small holes in it. That being said, I can also throw this around the rear sprocket with no issues, and the rubber coating is nice and protective so it doesn't damage the bike.This has become something I use several times a day and love it so far, I will update this review if issues arise in the future.
