Battery alone nor attached to the radio stay in steady enough for charger to continue working. I have to put something in there to hold it tight to the receptors. I'm not going to return it, but it is an inconvenience.

It works great for original factory batteries, but for 3rd party spare batteries, it does not work at all. So my spare battery is pretty much worthless with this charger. I'm glad I have the original factory charger to use along with this one.

First of all, the charging voltage and current don't match the Kenwood KSC-32 rapid charger. This one takes much longer to charge a battery. I'm not sure the batteries are even getting a full charge because the supply voltage is lower than the Kenwood charger. The grooves on batteries don't physically fit in this charger as well as on the Kenwood charger, so you can't charge a battery by itself that's attached to not a radio. Even when the battery is attached to a radio, sometimes it doesn't line up right, so you have to watch make sure that LED doesn't stop blinking after a few seconds. If it does, that means the battery isn't making contact with the charger, and it won't charge.As of 5/28/2020, this charger is half the price of a Kenwood charger, at $26 vs $54. I'll update this review if I find that I've been doing something wrong. Even at half price, it doesn't look like a bargain.
