What Is an Oven Thermometer?
An oven thermometer is a small, stainless steel oven-safe thermometer with a clock face dial that allows you to take the most accurate temperature of the oven. An oven thermometer allows you to measure the exact internal temperature of your oven—or as close as you can get—to ensure even more exact cook times and results.
The oven thermometer can be put in before you turn on your oven, as long as you feel secure it is in a safe place not touching the sides/flames, this will affect the temperature. You will then be able to get the optimum temperature you want before putting your dish in.

Bought an older retirement home that had been updated with new appliances. Wasn't sure if electric oven was at correct temperature. This device showed oven was slightly under so I calibrated it. Now temp is correct.

If you are NOT sure your oven is working properly buy a thermometer. Then you can test the oven temp and, if necessary, look at the owners manual and carefully follow the instructions to adjust the temperature. OR/AND if you have purchased a new oven, it is best to check it out the first week.The same goes for your refrigerator.

I needed an oven thermometer to check my new air fryer oven. It seemed to be heating to a much higher temperature than it was set. This thermometer showed I was right. It was easy to read. I like that it can be hung or rest on the oven rack. By using this, I am able to adjust the temperature control to the appropriate setting.
