The small, older refrigerator we have in our apartment has seen better days. The original shelf that was the top of the crisper drawers cracked after too much use. This one was the updated compatible replacement part and is far thicker, stronger and much better than the original and it fit perfectly!

Finally nothing is falling off the bottom shelf. I'm not having to play hopscotch with the food sliding down and into the floor. The fridge is so old I didn't think it would work. I wish I had done it years ago. It fit perfectly and is easy to clean. The price was great. It was very easy to install and clean. Te quality is better than I expected.

The drawers fit in this shelf too.The refrigerator in my rental was probably made in the 80’ or 90’ and most likely last another 20 years. They don’t make them like they used to. The shelf that came with it was split before I moved in. See photos.

Over the years I've been adding wood bracing to the crisper cover in our 30+ year old Hotpoint (CTX16BAZBRWH) fridge. It was ugly (see the attached image of our old one) and had us thinking about replacement of the whole unit. But I decided just to replace the piece. An official from an appliance parts online store was priced $105, so I went with this one.This one fits in well (with one issue) and feels really sturdy. The crisper drawers slide in as designed, and it makes us happy to not see my crummy wood "fixes". The one issue is that there has been a change in the part. The old one had a sloping front edge and this one has a slightly raised curve at the front. I think this was part of a general change and probably helps in controlling spills. You can kind of see this shape in the image I grabbed from the order page. We find that the front edge slightly touches the bottom of the door shelves. This can be enough that sometimes the door does not securely seal. We decided we could live with it. I also think it is possible that the silicon(?) door seal has collapsed a bit over the years. I think my next job will be to replace the seal. Anyway, that's why I did 4 instead of 5 stars. I think this is an issue because of the age of our refrigerator.
