This is what you need to make authentic stove top kunefe! Negative reviews are from people who lack basic knowledge about use and characteristics of aluminum cookware:1. Aluminum CANNOT be washed in the dishwasher EVER! If you do, damage is irreversible; must trash the pan2. Aluminum is NOT NONSTICK and not coated with toxic garbage (you must grease the pan plenty).Before you use them for the first time, after you wash them with warm water and soap, take a paper towel dipped in oil/fat and rub all around. There will be black residue. Make sure to remove it all before you cook in the panThe seller could/should have done a much better job educating people on what to expect from aluminum pans and how to prep it for use.

I have been looking for a good quality kanafa plates but this is not great to cook in. They are not non stick, and the silver comes off when washing.

It is made of aluminum and nicely made. I bought two and used them many times to make kunefe for the kids. It didn't get dark where it faces the fire. I wash them by hand as aluminum doesn't like dishwasher detergent.
