It looks great, it's sturdy but unfortunately it leaks through on it's own before tea has had time to brew, maybe I just got a faulty unit.

Not quite sure what I expected with this. I got this as part of the Amazon Vine program and did not expect the quality I received. This is an honest to goodness Chinese Tea Set. Being part Chinese, ai was only too excited to bring this into my home and learn how to properly use it. I opened it as soon as it came and was surprised to see it set deep inside cut out Styrofoam piece. Like a porcelain winter wonderland. The cups were absolutely tiny in our large American hands. Hands that are use to gripping 24 or 40oz thermos' daily for drinking. These cups look like they are deep enough for one swallow but I know I'd be an uncultured swine if I did that. Tea poured into these beautiful dishes are meant to be sipped and savored........with a lot more patience then I possess. I'm 3 slots however, is the build the Tea pot itself portions. I dared not try to take it out for fear I would break it; its that delicate. I had my husband piece it together. They look exactly like the pictures and I have no plans to ruin the beautifulness of this set. These have now set up shop in my curio for beauty and safe keeping.

I had recently broken my other "display" tea set in a move and was looking for a replacement. This has the right combination of traditional feel with modern lines. Having the small ceremonial cups is nice for display or when a tea service is more respectful than culinary, but I use it more for my personal cup and brewing on demand one-cup at a time makes for great tasting tea without long-term steeping bitterness. The "magic" brew dispenser function is 99% drip free, which is as good or better than any other flow-through dispenser I've tried. Clean-up is easy and, as mentioned, it maintains a small footprint, so its easy to have on the counter or table, and easily moves from kitchen to patio or office space without feeling like you need a catering crew to move stuff around. Very pleased!
