I purchased this for a historical reenactment. There is no sturdiness or shape to it at all. It's just a piece of pleated fabric with a bit of lace and ribbon attached. Because there's no shape to it, it slides off very easily, even when secured with a dozen pins and tied as tightly as possible.

Need to steam first otherwise it sits weird. Used for Little Oyster Halloween costume completed the whole costume. Will use for many more costumes.

Very cute bonnet. The color and size are true to the photos, and although it’s not as stiff as I thought it would be, it does stay upright which is good (although it doesn’t stay perfectly rounded, see front facing photo). I bought it to go with a bo peep costume for Halloween. In the end I’ve decided to go with a different all white bonnet, but I’m still keeping this one as it’s cute and may wear for future costumes.

Tried to iron out the crease as advised in another review and it ruined the bonnet. DO NOT BUY.***Update a year later: I stored it as they told me to to get rid of the creases. Guess what. This thing is permanently unwearable.
