It is a lot thicker than I thought it would be, but it works well and is easy to water down to make it more liquid/less thick. You can get great values of the color with watering it down. Fun to work with.

If it has to do with art / crafts I'm all about checking it out. I do lots of mixed media paintings and saw a liquid graphite video and wanted to check it out. Found this Fluid Graphite on Amazon and thought it might be a good substitute to try instead of the liquid graphite I had seen. The Fluid Graphite was cheaper than the liquid graphite I found on another site. This comes in a nice size bottle that is wider than tall (so you don't have to worry about it tipping over and spilling everywhere) with a wide mouth opening so you can easily fit a large brush in the bottle. It spreads nicely, creating nice lines with a thin brush. You can dilute it with water to get a thinner, lighter covering and to have it blend. I've mixed it with different watercolors and it gives them an interesting effect and if you burnish the graphite after the paint has dried it give the graphite a somewhat shiny appearance. Easy to clean off your brushes with water. I'm going to enjoy finding other ways to use this Fluid Graphite.

I bought this specifically for trying to repair remote controls that have non-working buttons.I also have powdered graphite, so I used my ohm meter to test both the powered version and this "liquid" version. To my surprise, this liquid graphite has much better electrical conductivity than the power.Plus, being a this "paint" it was very easy to dab (or dot) onto the remote's rubber pads. After dabbing all the pads, I let this dry for several hours, just to be sure that it sticks well. When I put the remote back together, ALL the keys worked like new!Even the ones that did "work" before, but I had to push hard, now just worked with a light touch.I'm sure it's good for artists too. LOLJust a note, however... when you get this stuff, you do have to mix is well before each use. When you first open it, it's like a light liquid on top. As you use something to stir it with, you'll see that there's a very thick layer of it near the bottom of the jar.Just mix well, but each time you open it.Not an issue at all. I just thought that I'd mention it to help others.

I can't say enough about this product- I have ben searching for a soft, beautiful granite based product to mix with watercolors for ages and have tried everything and this is exactly what I have wanted. It creates "stormy", soft, granulating mixtures with every color of watercolor I have. It's just beautiful- I love the way it applies and how it looks even on its own, and when mixed with paint, it's a knockout. So beautiful!

I got this to play with in mixed media pieces, watercolor, etc. It’s an interesting medium. You can use a dip pen with it I suppose, but I use a brush. It’s interesting to add what looks like pencil brushstrokes onto a watercolor or alcohol ink work. You can dilute it and use it like watercolor paint as well. Fun to play with!

The ink is nice and is on the thick side. I've only used it by itself and have not mixed it with any other medium. It's easy to use with a paint brush and goes on smoothly but when it dries it lacks the shine that graphite has. In the end though it is a beautiful grey color that has a matte finish.

Kuretake Fluid Graphite is a high-viscosity ink that combines graphite with synthetic resin. It is a fun and interesting art medium to work with. I would describe the color as charcoal gray, like a dark pencil mark. It’s also thick, so it can be applied with a brush or with a nib dip pen. Hence, you can use it for drawing, lettering or calligraphy. It is also water based, and can be combined with other media. However, it is NOT smudge proof, so that has to be kept in mind when combining it with other media. This is a Japanese import, and like other quality art materials, it is a little pricy. However, I like it, will continue to experiment with it, and will definitely recommend it to others.
