It is nice but for the cost I would expect the lights to stay on. They turn off Less than a minute after turning on with new batteries. No short in it. Looks like the mechanism itself is cheap. Would have given it one star but figures are nice and ill just have to install wireless lights inside it. Wish I read reviews.....

This was not great considering the cost. The figurines were nice enough but not great. The raffia on top of the stable was not attached well. The LED lights did not want to stay on. I just expected a better quality item for the cost. I would be embarrassed to give this as a gift.

I replaced my component Nativity scene with this. I found that placement of this unit is easier and I can move it around the house from year to year. The sculpture work is good or better than the component set it replaced. I also like the built in lighting with focus on the Christ Child. No electric chords . Its battery operated with double A baterries that were still goin strong after a month of daily use. Would liked to have built in timer.

The music and lights do not work...at times can get lights and music to play very briefly...then will not play. It has 3 switch settings...assume is off, on with lights and music and on..lights only, But this is a guess as no instructions or information sheet was included.I paid a lot of money for this as a gift and feel very badly that I gave a friend a gift that does not work!..very disappointing for both of us!

The figurines are nice. There is no where for the angle to be, the manger is too small for all the figures. The manger is cheap particle board, not even well covered. The music came on briefly but went off by itself and would not come back. Thee light came on for @10 minutes, but would not come back on. I will keep the figurines, throw the manger in the trash where it belongs. then try to find a 12 year old to build a better one.

I have been searching for a few years for a new nativity set and I really like this one. Good size, the figurines are well painted and the lights/Silent Night song are a nice touch. The Shepard boy lost his hand in transport but some crazy glue did the trick and he now has both hands again. It also arrived within 2 days so we were actually able to use it this Christmas.
