It took some grinding on the length of the "hook" to make it fit on a 2002 FLHRCI but, it still works good and looks good.

I change my jiffy stand springs on my Harley every 3 years because if/when they break, it's a real pain. This spring is nice quality, is easy to install (if you know the trick - no vice grips required!). It's a stout spring and I've been using these for well over a decade. Never had one break as long as I change them every 3 years. Nice!

Not very good. I have bought 4 of these over the last 5 years as they tend to break after using them a bit. They all fail the same way, the hook end of the spring that you put on the frame straightens out and simply is no longer able to be held in place. I have a 99 FLHR and had to replace my factory one after scraping a speed bump. The last one of these I put on got its hook straightened as soon as I got it hooked in the kickstand and started back to the natural position with it.I think there are two issues:1) The ends aren't correctly shaped for hooking on my bike, and probably any other touring model with the hole in the frame.2)There are no instructions, so if there is a trick or something, it isn't apparent to me. I'm installing how the shop manual says.I think the OEM one has the correct hook shape, but idk if I'll go that route either. Zip ties and a pocket knife are my current retention/release system because I'm sick of buying this product.

My father in law screwed his kickstand spring up while trailering his bike. Bikes don't belong on trailers. You will never need a replacement spring as long as you don't trailer your bike. I've never installed a kickstand spring before because I've never trailered a bike. I've never experienced a failure of a kickstand spring. If you do trailer your bike, and you screw your spring up, you might as well buy a shiny one. So, on with the review...This is a kickstand spring. It is shiny. It's not an official Harley Davidson part, so your hardcore Harley Davidson friends may laugh at your bike if you install this. It fits on my father in law's bike. It probably fits yours, too. It's easy to put on. I have no idea why there is so much talk on the Internet about how difficult it is. You remove one screw. You remove the kickstand. You put the new spring on. You reattach kickstand. You tighten the screw. I used blue threadlocker. You can use threadlocker if you want. I've seen recommendations about putting pocket change in the spring to spread it, but that would take way more time than the five minutes I took to install the thing.

I have a Sportster 1200C ( knew going in that this spring does match OEM specifications ), I bought it because it is smaller than the stock spring. I got it to fix an issue with the kickstand hanging down too far while riding (it scraped on left turns, shoe laces getting stuck in it, ETC).This helps a lot the kickstand now sits about 1in away from the full up position.I have found that the kick stand has deformed ( assumed previous owner tied it down to a trailer with the bike resting on the kickstand ) but it was only visible when I compared it to my friends 1200C :(But being 10bucks with shipping It was cheaper than a new kickstand and spring from Harley
