Appropriately heavy for a training volleyball, its got some weight to it. The skin is soft, not rough or hard on the hands, but the product itself seems very durable. I dont use it myself but my son is satisfied with it and has been using it daily since it arrived.

I bought this training volleyball to work with my granddaughter on her serves. When they're young, the girls start out hitting the ball underhanded, but soon graduate to the overhand serve. If you've never hit a volleyball, you'll find it is heavier and harder than you might have expected. It's not easy! I knew using a weighted ball would help my granddaughter better handle the official weight ball, but I was also hoping this ball wouldn't be TOO heavy. It's not! Obviously, the manufacturer knew what he was doing. And it is helping her perfect her overhand serve. Before I saw this ball, I didn't even know a training volleyball was a thing. A great product; highly recommended for guys or gals!

This weighted training volleyball feels great. The surface is soft and feels nice. The weight will definitely improve a players game. Highly recommended!

Bought this for my daughter, who has played at the youth, club, and high school levels, and who now plays on her college team.This weighted ball seems to be well-constructed of quality materials, has a nice texture, and seems like it will stand up well to both indoor and outdoor play.It is a weighted ball (marked as 1.1 lbs / 500 grams), and it is definitely heavier than all the official size/weight balls that we have at home.Practicing with a weighted ball is good way to build up arm strength across one's game -- and it certainly makes playing with an official ball feel much lighter.Will see how it holds up with regular use, but it certainly appears to be up to the task!

This is a great training ball. It arrived well packaged, undamaged and timely. I'm not sure what more I can say about a ball, it was easy to inflate and it is as described. The extra weight should make easy work for the regular balls. I would get this again.
