Really Happy with this purchase - and I have a crazy setup. I have 3 Dell monitors, and have 2 laptops and 1 PC. I wanted access to all 3 monitors, and all 3 computers via a KVM Switch. I ended up having to invest in 2 of these Dell Port Replicators (D6000) because my two laptops don't have 3 video ports. So by using the port replicators, I was able to give each laptop 3 video ports via the USB-C port. I then plugged the video outputs from the Port Replicators into this KVM. It works really well for the monitors - and all 3 computers can use the 3 monitors well. The only issue I had was that my wireless keyboard and mouse had a weird lag when using the KVM. I saw a couple other folks refer to this, and said they used wired Keyboard and mouse. So I switched to wired for keyboard/mouse - and all works well again. I have a Logitech Brio camera and it works fine with all three going thru the KVM! Finally is my headset. I get some wonkiness on occasion - however, I suspect that going thru the Dell Port Replicators (thru the KVM) - is not perfect. So I have to move the USB Plug between the 2 laptops when I switch. So not 100% ideal - but 90% of the functions work, and it makes my life MUCH easier. I'd like to see a KVM Switch that can also act as a port replicator to some extent - where you could have the option of either the USB-C Port, or the 3 monitors. However - I suspect the cost would go way up - so for this - I am happy about the cost / value! The remote control does work well, and I stuck it (there's a sticker on the bottom) right by my fingertips - so it is nice to have it close by - works very well. As for durability - I'll say this unit is tough. I have all ports used. and the cables are all hanging down behind my desk (pulling on the ports in the back) - and it has done well. I did purchase some heavy-duty Velcro stickers and used it to stick the unit to my desk, so I have access to the front plugs easily in case I need to move something around (Very rarely). Otherwise - happy with the unit, been using it for some time now. I would purchase again - and recommend this. Note that my setup is a bit wonky - not an average setup - and it works well!

Compact hdmi/usb3 switch for 4 computers and 1 monitor. It just works. Very impressed with its simplicity.

Works fine for awhile, and I liked the little button panel that came with it, but after about 2 weeks, it started randomly connecting and disconnecting from my computer

I bought this to switch between two Lenovo (linux) machines and two Macs. The Apple-specific devices (i.e. Magic Trackpad) did work. However, any non-Apple devices were not recognized by either the 2024 Macbook Pro or the 2023 Mac Mini. Having searched online for a solution, I found that others were having similar issues. Sadly, I had to return this item. If you are buying this for MacOS and you're not exclusively using Apple hardware, be warned; it may not fully work.

Cheap is what you get when you pay cheap. I've had nothing but problems with the video display. It's jerky and struggles to switch between the machines quickly. Windows are shoved all over the place and icons go everywhere. The HDMI has just failed and I've had to bypass the switch to get the monitor to show an image again, so now it's a 2 screen/3 computer switch.Would not recommend. I'll be looking for other options to replace this inadequate product.

I already bought the two input version of this device but decided having the three input version would be beneficial. When it arrived one of the displayport out ports didn't fucntion out of the box. One monitor would just stay black and the mouse would be jumpy when trying to move it around. Event Viewer shows that the device was just connecting and disconnecting constantly. Swithced back to my two input version and it worked fine so I know it wasn't my setup. Retruning this one. Maybe it's a one off issue, maybe it isn't. Hope you have better luck than I did.

I friend mentioned he was looking at this product and while I'd been getting by manually switching the inputs on my monitors, this solution is fantastic. I have it running 2 HDMI monitors (with 8K DP to 2.1 HDMI adapters) and one display port monitor. I did have issues connecting the second HDMI monitor and support was fabulous emailing me enough detail to get the CORRECT cable/adapter and it's working great to switch all 3 monitors between 2 computers or a Laptop! Impressive support and fine product for a fail price!

Using a three monitor, two device set-up at the moment. Overall the switch does what it's supposed to at a great price. With that said I've taken a star off as I learned the hard way that you need to us the same type of cord to connect the device and switch (HDMI-HDMI or DP-DP). Not the end of the world, but it prevented me from using HDMI-DP cords I already had on hand.

I had previously bought, and returned, a cheaper (~$35) KVM which stopped working after two weeks. That cheaper one was so light that it wouldn't stay where I put it. This one is leagues better. It has some weight, so it stays in place on my desk. I've only had it a couple of months, but so far, it has worked flawlessly. It has EDID simulation, so my computers don't freak out, and it feels high quality to the touch. It uses standard cables too, not those combination HDMI+USB cables that cause problems. At double the price of my previous one, it feels four times a better product. Soon after I bought it, I needed another one to only switch video on some other computers (I didn't need USB, which is what failed on the cheap one), so which one did I buy? This one again!

I don't know why, but the space this product fills seems to be a very difficult space in which to supply an actual working product.I am leaving a positive review based solely on the fat that this product does indeed work out of the box to share a keyboard and mouse between multiple computers. That this fact is worth even mentioning in a review should speak volumes about the level of non-functional garbage that is for sale on Amazon in this space. I am speaking from a position of knowledge. This is the 6th such device I have ordered and the second that has actually worked for my relatively humble requirements, and has been trouble free.I am, however, only awarding 4 out of 5 stars because whoever decided to use a diamond configuration for the switch buttons instead of a linear arrangement mirroring the position of the activity lights on the device should never be allowed to design a product again without completing a remedial user interface design course. I routinely struggle to pick between the 2 and 3 positions on the switch, and after literal months of daily use. So if you're prepared to put up with that, then this is a good buy. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

I haven't used a KVM switch since they were all ps2 and vga ports. This works great and does allow you to share usb devices between machines, assuming you have the appropriate driver installed for that device on each computer.

Model: KC-KVM401AIt switches very fast and was stable for me. 2-3 seconds, never had an error with switching. But one of the computers I plugged in was a laptop, and when I switch to my desktop, the laptop does not know the monitor was disconnected, so anything the monitor was displaying on the external monitor is hidden. This is why the switching is so fast- the laptop does not have to reconfigure the screen layout. But this means I can't toggle to my desktop and keep an eye on the laptop off to the side.Additionally, I get a black screen when launching a game with AMD Freesync from my RX 590. I even tried certified 3 foot hdmi 2.1 cables. But, kceve is making good stuff overall. If you need freesync, it works for me on a different model, KVM202DH. My laptop also detects the external monitor as disconnected when I switch.
