Unless I had no choice, I wouldn't use mine to carry a heavier gun, such as a shotgun or something of similar weight. I'd likely draw the line at something like a synthetic-stocked Ruger 10-22.

If you need some basic protection for your rifle at a budget-friendly price, this scabbard has you covered. Time will tell how well it holds up. The snaps and hook could be an issue with heavy use. Perfect for basic protection (truck, car, safe) but wouldn't trust it for travel while hunting.

Voto loose fitting around the stock. Ordered one that secures snugly around the short stock on Mossberg 590 S. If you can live with wide opening price is excellent for quality.

Don't expect this to work as a sling bag, it will open up like a cheap duffle. Snaps are cheap and in spots that are just right to be wrong. Works ok as a cheap rifle case, nothing more.

Bought this for an M2 tactical shotgun, 18.5 inch barrel with a red dot. Turned the scabbard upside down to accommodate the red dot. I store this home defense shotgun in the scabbard hanging from a post. For my purposes, this case is fine with adjustments and straps that work even while hanging upside down. If I were to carry this in the field, I would want something heavier than this however, for the money I am very satisfied.

Very happy with this scabbard.Quality is much better than expected, especially at this price point. Materials, etc seem to be pretty good. Oh course there are things I would and will change/add but to be expected since it isn't made for a specific weapon. Fortunately they have added lots of different connection points, etc so you can tweak it depending on your use. It fits my 10.5" AR sbr/pistol w/Attachments perfectly just as I had hoped! So I'm a happy camper. I plan to add a cpl snaps in different places in order to make it fit even better + I added a "strap pad" that I had laying around which makes it even more comfortable. (note to manufacturer = you really should add that). My main reason for buying this was to have something to carry it in on hikes, or to the range, etc without having to carry my other bulky dbl rifle case. And by adding a dump bag for boxes of ammo, etc with the molle attachments I'm good to go!As of right now I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for something similar, especially for an ar platform sbr/pistol. And at this price you can't go wrong.

I'm in a weekly axe throwing league and have been looking for an inexpensive, non-bulky case to carry my axes. First impression is this should fit the bill, carrying two (or maybe three) axes. My 26" WATL big axe slides in pretty well, just slightly snug along the blade (with rubber guard on), and the handle length fits nicely with the scabbard at full length, or hangs out 3-4" with the scabbard shortened. My shorter corporal axe fits a little tight at the blade with sheath on, so I slide the handle in first and the blade up. I think a third short axe could possibly fit handle down, but haven't tried it. A downside is no pockets for accessories but you can add a pouch or other accessories using the MOLLE straps. The scabbard seems durable enough to handle the weight but the shoulder strap hooks are plastic and nylon lining inside the case, so will see how long it holds up. I bought the khaki color which is a little more green than I expected but will be fine.
