Used to compress stock Tacoma springs for removal. Actually greased the threaded rod and the slip shaft prior to use, which is always a good idea. One of the two tools bent during use and caused the threads to start to rip. Only reason I didn’t rate it one star is that I was able to compress and remove both front springs, but by the time I was done the bent tool was no longer usable.

I bought these to replace the struts on my son's old BMW wagon. They seemed fine out of the box, and everything was going to plan until one of the jack screws mashed under pressure and became stuck. I didn't even get the first spring compressed before I needed to buy another set, locally.

I used these on my 1978 Triumph Spitfire and they worked fine. The front springs have a narrow opening and I was able to use this tool successfully to grab safely and compress.

Great tool! The hooks on my Maddox spring compressor were too large for some UTV coilovers I was working on. The lower profile of the hooks on this tool allowed it to work perfectly on the smaller and tighter springs.

I wish I had purchased this tool long ago.. I kept renting a similar spring compression tool from my local auto parts store to change out struts until that tool was too big for a 97 Honda Accord's front strut springs.. this spring compression tool worked great!! It is narrow and able to fit through the narrow spaces in the springs to get a grip where the other tool would not fit.. Price was great!! Easy to use!! THANK YOU!!
