Giving this 4 stars for now because it seems to be holding the leak better than other things I have tried.I applied the product to a cast iron gearbox that had a leak between 2 mating surfaces. To fix it right it needs to be taken apart and resealed but its a big job and needs to wait for winter. I put a slab of this Oyltite stuff along the seam where the leak was and so far so good. I haven't ran the gear box long enough to really warm it up yet so we will see if Oyltite holds through some hard use. If so, I'll give it 5 stars.I would give 5 stars now but the packaging was crap. The Oyltite paste was not covered in anytype of foil or wrapper, just had the yellow cardboard sleeve around it. This made most of the stick hard, dry and useless. I cut a bunch of the material off with a knife until I could get to the soft part and applied the soft stuff to my leaking area. Probably wasted half the stick. I would also bet that if my leak returns it's because there is a hard chunk or two in the mix that I didn't get worked out during application.

This made the leak in my oil tank WORSE. I had a very slow drip in my 275 gal tank (FULL). As soon as I used this (as directed) the drip got much faster and quickly went from a wet spot to an emergency. Luckily I found a strong magnet and a thin rubber yoga mat. Cut a pc of the mat and held it against the leak with the magnet. So far the leak stopped. Can't wait to convert to gas!

In the Air Force we used OylTite to temporarily fix fuel leaks in the field. Just so happens that the aircraft that I work on now in the private business jet sector authorizes the use of OylTite. I ordered a stick of OylTite to use if needed and when it arrived it was not wrapped in any sort of protective wrapping at all, resulting in me questioning the integrity of the product. Why was it not packaged properly?
