String is too short, the ball return sway too quick to actually catch. Also, it broke on his fifth throw. The elastic cord just snapped.

We've used these for sports like tennis and it has worked great. However, the way this is intended to be used is definitely advanced lacrosse. In tennis or baseball when you use something like this it attached to a 3rd point, like a weight, and this makes it so that, after some practice you can get the hang of this. Because this attaches to the head of your stick you have to toss it lightly or it comes flying full speed right back at you at an angle that isn't even good for catching. My kids were eventually able to figure it but it was not really in a way that would be similar to how you would usually play lacrosse so I'm not sure it will do your muscle memory any favors.In addition to that it comes with an extra elastic but the elastic is permanently attached to the ball so I am not sure how replacing it would work. The attachment point doesn't seem sturdy enough to last through the rigors of lacrosse, especially with the speeds you end up with if you toss this at even an average speed.

This is an option as far as lacrosse rebounders go. You loop the highly elastic string around the tip of your lacrosse stick and you practice cradling your lacrosse ball without it getting out of your reach. The downside to this is throwing the lacrosse ball. If you throw the ball hard, it’s going to shoot back at you hard so that is not really the best use of this training equipment. But as far as learning how to cradle the ball and run with the ball while cradling, this is helpful. The included sleeves are a nice bonus as one of our sticks needed a new replacement sleeve and it was nice to have that available and included in this kit.

My 14 yr old LAX player says this works well and he likes it for practice. It's exactlly as described... however, that's kind of what has me worried. One of the selling features is that the elastic is "built into" the ball. This seems great so far, but I don't see any noticeable way to recognize when it's beginning to wear out or break like I would if there was a eye hook. I'm just waiting for him to come in after using this and tell me that the ball flew off the rope and broke a window.Bottom line, I think this is useful, just still aim away from anything that can break.

Talk about the perfect product for a struggling beginner. My son was having issues shooting the ball to make goals. He has been practicing with this product and he is improving. Less time chasing around lacrosse balls and more time practicing. The product is well made and durable. The ball is tough and will last a long time. I appreciate they added an extra bungee cord so if the current one becomes worn we can switch it out.
