This isn’t my first purchase of this waist trainer. I really like it; it has good structure and material which is why I am ordering another. I only give four stars because of sizing issue. Every time I order the size is off. I measured 38” but I got an XL. I sized down. I went to the last row of hooks immediately. The size chart is bogus. It’s annoying to constantly have to return and order a new one.

Fit

Great waist trainer made of quality material. I haves long torso, so the length is perfect for me, if you have a shorter torso it may be too long and dig into your hips or chest. I don’t agree with others that say to size up. I have a 31” waist, 5’6” and 155 lb, the large fits but I am already on the smallest row, , wish I would have sized down to a medium. If you are new to waist trainers I’d order the size recommended on the chart, if you have worn them before and are used to the struggle of getting them on I think you could size down one size.

For context, I’m 5’7”, 135 pounds and fairly thin with my build. After I had my second daughter I was diagnosed with something called diastasis recti. I have a severe case of it with a 5 1/2 inch gap between my ab muscles. I look like I am seven months pregnant but I’m not. I have to have surgery to fix it. This has caused me tremendous self-esteem issues. I have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on Shapeware and corsets and everything still gives me a round stomach. Some more than others but I don’t have that flat look like I used to have. I can’t wear dresses like I used to, shirts look terrible on me, I just look pregnant! It’s even worse when you’re at the bar having a nice drink for date night with your husband, and people comment asking how far along you are, or while you’re drinking while pregnant. For a year I have not found anything that actually gives me confidence.THEN I FIND THIS!!!! I’ll be honest, I did not have high expectations due to all the other Shapeware that I have tried not doing it for me. I was absolutely shocked with how flat my stomach was wearing this. It was also super comfortable surprisingly! I was even able to wear tight fitted dresses like I used to. Body con type dresses and my stomach is FLAT!!!!! Like legit flat flat! You can not see it through thicker fabrics too like you can with other shapewear. The boning is flatter with a shock fabric over it and it barely shows. I recommend dresses or shirts with some sparkle, ruffle or thickness.The only thing is I ordered a second one, and the stitching was wrong in the boning part and they sent me another one as soon as I contacted Amazon about it.Get this! Seriously!

I have been waist training for about 5 years now and have many under bust, over bust, neoprene, latex, steel boned, lace & hook girdles, corsets, and other shape wear in my closet. I started with lace up corsets and latex girdles like this one, but gained weight over the past year (and basically had to start over reshaping the fat lol)Right off the bat, I could tell this is what I've been looking for on Amazon. I had ordered a few 'latex' girdles that felt flimsy and began to expand or lose shape after a couple weeks of wear. Some I was even on hook 3 after day one which is disappointing.This girdle features very well built and secure eye hooks that I'm not afraid of bending or coming apart from pulling and tugging. The inner lining is cloth material, so I don't have to worry so much about wearing another garment underneath (the latex is not directly on your skin all day, where other latex waist trainers can be irritating to those who don't have latex allergies if worn for a long time) I am 5'3", 195lbs and use these items EXCLUSIVELY for waist training. I don't use them for weight loss or back support per se (but after years of waist training you pretty much have to wear one for back support especially if you have large breasts like myself.) I ordered a 3XL based on the size chart and my big butt. I have worn others between medium and 2XL - please use the charts! Every manufacturer is different and if it's LATEX expect it to be a TIGHT FIT vs neoprene, spandex, or combo materials. You will need to wrestle this one on but once you do, you will prob love it.I was able to hook in the last hook row immediately which I'm fine with. I wanted to test this brand and style before ordering closer to my size expectation. Even the 3XL on the last hook really sucks everything in nicely, distributes any rolls that I hate to the right areas, and doesn't create any new ones (also hate.)TIP: If you're struggling with fitting your girdle, you may have it too LOW on your torso. I have a long torso for a short girl. Your girdle / corset should fall just below your bust line and end just below the belly and above the hips. (If you can tell in the photo) if you go too low on your hips, you will have a hell of a time trying to squeeze into your shape wear and may think it doesn't fit. Find the area on your body that has the most give and work from there, you can always pull it into position once you're latched :)Also, use your man or a girlfriend to get them suckers TIGHT. Bonus is you will definitely gain some muscle in your arms pulling your girdles closed lol I always need some help pulling up the back (mines a little low in the photos as I only had myself to fit this one)And if it doesn't work out as in too small, the manufacturer included a coupon for an extender (I already have like fifty but thanks!)Overall, would totally buy another one. This was exactly what I had been looking for but was skeptical because of the price and sizing. If you want that extra tight squeeze, those BLAM curves, and back support I HIGHLY recommend this product and wasn't bribed in any way to say this :)

My shipment came quicker than expected.I really like everything about this product I use it to fit my clothing properly, is really better than I expected
