Save a fortune as it prevented the need to buy a whole new pump. It was easy to fit and works well.

Was very surprised that you can buy the impeller. Had this pump for over 7 years 24hr a day running. Got abused with weeds and twigs. Finally failed and it was just a crack shaft. New impeller dropped right in and worked perfect! Laguna makes good products!

Was an exact replacement part, and is working perfectly. The impeller came with a replacement lower busing and the tool to pull the old bushing from the motor. My 2900 has been in use for 8 years and this spring I found the ceramic shaft was broken, 5 min to open the pump and replace the impeller assembly saved quite a bit over replacing the entire pump/motor. Make sure you pay attention, there were other sellers on Amazon asking more for the impeller than a brand new pump.

I purchased the pump in May 2013 and it had four months of service before it was taken out for the winter. After re-installing the pump this spring it started and then slowly died. The impeller shaft is constructed of some combination of poor materials and instead of using a metal rod the stress of the system will break it. Since the impeller is the heart of the pump and the manufacturer knows of this and to say the impeller is not covered under warrantee is a sham. Be prepared to buy a spare impeller for your expensive pump. Not impressed!

I took apart my broken pump and the ceramic rod was broken. I thought I was going to need to replace the whole pum and then found this. I rate the pump itself at 4 stars because this piece broke, but at least they have parts available... this was a perfect replacement. Installed it in about 5 minutes.
