Christmas present for 10 year old new to skating but very proficient. Skates are perfect starter skates exactly as described.

This skates have a wonderful soft lining especially on the inside of the ankles. They are true to size, I wear a size 6.5 dress shoes and size 7 tennis shoes.Ordered the size 7 skates and they fit perfectly.

The blades on the blades are not mounted perfectly straight or inline with the boot, so they are unusable. Very disappointed because they were a birthday present and they caused the recipient to have a bad skating experience. They skates are very beautiful and well made but they have not been quality checked at allOver all I would give it a 4 star for quality of the boot itself, (real leather, very flattering style and soft interior) but 0 stars for quality control.

I am impressed at the look and feel of these skates for the price. I have not tried them on ice yet but they feel good for the price point. If you are looking for an inexpensive decent skate, buy these. The blade cover is super cheap looking so will need to get better ones.

After reading all the reviews, I wasn't sure if I shall size down 1 size or 2 sizes. In the end, I decided to go down 1 size to be safe. I normally wears size 6.5 to 7 in women size. So I picked size 6. I am so glad that I went down only one size. The skate fits perfectly with light socks. If I wear heavy one, I am not able to fit in. But the skate is very comfortable and warm. The leather is pretty good quality as well. It needs to be sharpened before use.

I read a lot of the reviews but wasn't sure what to make of the sizing based off of what others wrote. I ended up choosing my normal size (women's 6) and it fits really comfortably and does not crush my toes. The skates are leather and the memory foam/fuzzy fabric on the inset is a nice touch for coziness. I'm also pleased with the type of laces / lacing style as this is the first time I have owned a pair of skates I can actually fully tighten on my own. I can't wait to get them sharpened and try them out on the ice!

This is an entry level boot and blade, keep in mind that this blade is only nickel plated and stainless steel our sharpener at the rink told us that we would need frequent sharpenings which were 8 dollars per sharpening and it would be much more expensive in the long run, so if you would want entry level boots I suggest the Jackson or Riedell for classes and for recreational skating, these. The ankle support is a bit firm for a beginner but once you get used to it you realize it doesn't have that much ankle support for jumps or intricate moves. Also for those complaining that the sizes are wrong, you usually go down either 1 size or 1&1/2 for skating boots, so their measurements are correct.I painted my hooks and holes white because I didn't like the gold, and I bedazzled the laces with a few flower gems since I was bored. These come unsharpened and when you get on the ice with it unsharpened it's a nightmare because you'd be slipping everywhere.Other than that these are definitely better and more comfortable than rental skates, they save your feet.

The product is great and worth the money. After a one public session using rental plastic skates that killed my feet I decided the investment in proper skates would be worth it. I picked these because apparently they have some leather component in them which I can't really tell but they are comfortable and have some foam lining that forms and hugs feet nicely. Now sizing issue, I wear 7.5- 8 in shoes so after reading the reviews I concluded 7 can not be that much off. Boy, was I wrong. I was swimming in 7 which made me very frustrated. Then I was concerned that going down to 6 would not work and they have no half sizes. I took chances and ordered 6 and they are a perfect fit. This is a complete screw up and will upset many people.what would be a point to create sie jak sizing for skates? I have no idea. They have many bad reviews because if that. Please fix it if you don't want to miss on sales! Btw I got the protective sleeves and out some store shoe memory insoles for more comfort.

These run big. I wear a 9.5 & got the 9 & they were roomy.. They're leather, have a nice firm but cushiony ankle. The blades are just riveted on, not screwed on; they can't be swapped out for better blades. The boot base is like plastic or something, it's not what I'm used to. I just thought they were going to be nicer than they were. I've been figure skating since I was 5 years old, so I'm used to top notch skates, but I'm a broke college kid now & can't afford top notch. They'd really be perfect for someone who is a leisurely skater or is just starting out. I ended up returning them & bought some risport figure skates off of ebay for the same price. Oh, & the gold paint flaked off the eyelet when I strung the laces through. Just not impressed.
