Great little switch that operates smoothly and appears to be well made, the plastic housing is pretty substantial, while the spring mechanism is responsive and quickly switches with a moderate tap.I'm using it with a lamp that's a few feet from the bed – its just so much easier to be sitting on the edge of it and tapping the switch with my foot to turn the light on or off, instead of walking those few feet in the dark to accomplish the same thing. I realize that, in the grand scheme of things, its not that big of a deal, but this foot switch is one of those little things that just makes life easier.

It works well and can be used for many different things like a lamp, christmas tree, humidifier, fan, anything that you want to turn on with your foot!Pretty simple to use, and I can always use an extension cord. You can also use it along a smart plug if you want to turn something on that does not have a cable long enough. Pretty useful for my purposes.My only issue is that this is 2 pronged and will not work with 3 pronged appliances, but that is a given from the description.

This is something that I’ve been looking for for a long while I’ve been looking for actually two versions of this extension cord, one exactly as this is latching on and off foot switch, but the other one I’d like to have a non-latching a momentary if you will so, like a tattoo machine or sewing machine as you’re pressing on the pedal, it runs and soon as you let off it stops That for things like a Dremel or even a router would be not convenient but advantageous, but there’s certain tools like drill press, bench grinder, that sort of tool which personally I think warrant the extra step of having this switch basically have the machine switched on and use this as it’s on and off switch in some houses that have outlets on a light switch and you can turn lights on or turn appliances on or off at the wall, you just leave the appliances on for an angle grinder. This is amazing because you can be standing there going along zing it down the way it needs to And then you can click it off as you just about done. It’s ramping down. You can take a look at your work, coolant and water or oil and either do get the final little twist on your drill bit or what have you as it’s winding down or before it’s done stopping click it on again and it ramps up in no time I find it quite handy for that and it offers a little bit of extra Protection in a sense. I guess it has its own place and its own reason but I think it’s a wonderful idea. That way I’ve seen them used for things like lights off in the corner or Christmas trees, but I’ve been thinking about this since my days as a tattoo artist And I finally found it. It does the thing it does it amazingly well I couldn’t ask for any better if you’re even thinking about it for the price of it go for it you won’t regret it at least functionality, wise and price wise I mean awesome really especially for in a garage or workshop or the kind of area where you might need to Add light or activate something with your hands busy it’s always kind of a strange concept of if my hands can’t do it, I shouldn’t be mentality until you’re in the situation where you don’t have a choice and that’s not a safety hazard but I digress I’m content with it. Five stars all the way I recommended all day.

This foot switch functions to turn on my floor which is in a corner behind my sofa.Since I'm older with balance issues this ease my use so I don't need to lean over the sofa to turn the lamp on or off. It's of good build quality and has been durable for the length of time I've used it. It's a 2 prong plug which odds fine for me as this old house I'm in has mostly 2 prong outles. I'm sure there's plenty of other items that would benefit from the functionality of this switch.I feel for the price this is a good value for your money.

This foot operated power cord works great for controlling a table lamp or any other fixture or appliance that you may want a more convenient way of turning on and off.The black color is actually good from the standpoint of not being as easy to see as compared to the usual white versions that are sold. The push button is very solid feeling and not difficult to trigger with just light foot pressure.The cord is well constructed and everything feels high quality. I would definitely order this cord again and am happy with these batteries operation and overall value.

This is a reasonably-priced foot switch to make it easier to turn lamps, appliances, etc., on and off. I liked this one so much that I ordered two more.I have several such foot switches in my house, but not all of them are operated by foot. Where my wife and I watch television, I have an LED floodlight (100 Watts, 15,000 lumens) mounted atop a photography tripod and connected it through a foot switch because the LED lamp does not have an on/off switch. But the tripod is slightly behind where we sit, so I placed the "foot" switch on top of a side table that sits between us, and we operate that switch with our fingers. It is technically a "finger" switch!When we put a crossword puzzle together, I move that tripod light to the table where we do the puzzles because 15000 lumens of 6500 deg K is as bright as the sun inside our house and that brilliant light makes seeing the puzzle parts really easy.The LED at 100W is well-below the 3A maximum for this foot switch.We have a floor lamp in our bedroom also on a foot switch. That lamp is where we sit to read and whatnot and it was a pain in the butt to have to get up from the easy chair to turn the light on or off. Same deal, foot switch on the table to operate by finger!This particular model foot switch is intended for lights and has a two-prong polarized plug. The switch mechanism is sturdy and feels like it will last forever and the power cord long enough to reach an outlet.There are other foot switches that support three-prong plugs and higher amperage loads. If you do not have electrical experience (I do not) you can seek answers on the web to ensure your switch can handle the load. Once you become familiar with that you can figure it out on your own.But the use of foot switches has made it easier for us to augment lighting arrangements. We do have some we use by foot, but these switches are flexible in their application.

This is a good budget option to give a powered device an extra switch which can be conveniently accessed on the ground with your foot or by hand. Be careful as its not rated for high wattage devices and only supports up to 3A which is about 350 watts!
