I ordered this ‘Landscape Edging’ to use to box in a new flower bed I will be putting in along a part of my privacy fence. I wanted something that was easy to install, and this edging seemed to be it.This ‘Landscape Edging’ is quite easy to install…if you can get it unrolled, that is. The edging is very sturdy…hence stiff…and it is very hard to unroll. And if it’s cold outside, it’s next to impossible. Just make sure you store the edging inside the house to make it as easy to install as possible. But as I mentioned, this ‘Landscape Edging’ is very sturdy. I have no doubt that it will work well along my flower bed. And I do like how long the included plastic stakes are. I have similar edging along another part of my fence, and the stakes are only half the size. These stakes will hold I’m sure.In summary, if you’re in the market for a sturdy plastic edging, I can recommend this ‘Landscape Edging’. It’s well constructed and will last even though it’s hard to work with.

We installed on the natural island in our front yard and it's now so much easier to trim the grass (weed-eater) ACCURATELY. It was easy to install, too. There are no straight lines on the edges of our island, just smooth-flowing curves, and this landscaping border hugs the curves. The spikes are easy to drive in and the curves are perfect. I've seen metal landscaping borders but those seem downright hazardous, especially if you've got small children stumbling around. So, this edging is attractive, easy-to-install, easy to work with, and safe for young and old. Great Product!

The picture in the description makes it look gray but in reality, it is black. The edging is fairly thick plastic. The plastic is a little bit stiff and has some memory to it, but if you unroll it and put it in the sun to soften it up it will lay flatter and be easier to bend it to your garden bed shape. It's certainly easier to put in than the steel edging I've been using elsewhere. It comes with plastic spiral garden spikes which are very difficult to Pound into the ground if the soil is not loose. Regular galvanized garden spikes work better.

This border is great for protecting trees in my yard. There aren't enough stakes to put one through every hole. The border has thick 4" walls and hitting the border with my weed wacker (often) doesn't damage it. I like the height of the wall as I can fill the "tree circle" with mulch and compost and don't have a mess in my yard.

I prefer this border style because it's relatively quick and easy to install. This style of border is available in shorter heights and I was really excited to see this border available at a height of four inches. Ideally each hole gets a plastic stake to secure the border to the ground. When I install this I put weed barrier fabric over the base and then hammer in the stake. (Ground--border--weed barrier--mulch or rocks). I found that if I put this over the weed barrier the mulch or rocks that I use to cover the weed barrier eventually gets under the border and the top of the border starts to roll out into the grass. I have also found that landscaping staples will work to secure the border but it's better to use the plastic stakes that are provide (for every hole in the border).
