Sounds outstanding, thumps 2 8" subwoofers. Makes my 87 Chevy Blazer sound like a concert hall. Easy install and appreciate mounting screws included. Solid component. Would recommend to any head banger.

Got it for my girlfriend for Christmas to run 2x Rockford Fosgate shallow mount 12's rated @ 250rms each, that I bought for under the seat of her Avalanche.I've been busy but just installed her system tonight and hooked this thing up. We went for a fifteen minute test drive, when we came back I touched it and burned my hand. You could fry an egg on it.That's a fire hazard on a carpeted box.We have ice on the road, we don't need fire in the truck.Also, the sound quality was terrible, I was not able to tune out the distortion even at less than half gain.For now she'll just have to enjoy the kicker comp 12's I bought for her midgate with the tried and true Pioneer D8701.I will say if you have some cheap Wal-Mart subs and you aren't going to push them hard at all, you just want a little bass to enhance the quality of your music in your miata, Prius, Aveo, smart car, or other extremely small air space vehicle this amp MIGHT be "okay".The best thing about this amp is that I bought it on Amazon and am able to return it.Positives:It looks pretty. Works great for me , I used with a shallow mount 12" Rockford fosgate, and did a good job , and at least doesn't go to protection mode like the old one a bought before this , so a read bad and good reviews here , on my case case i dont have complaints for the moment,I'm back here two years later and the amp start going in mode protection I check the wires for like 10 times i don't see any problem so I decide the problem is the amp I just open the key and he comes on protection

this amp was decent at best. there is no way in heck it was 1k watts under any circumstances though and then one day poof it started smoking and never worked again... I think my Memphis 6x9s broke it...

I have been rockin mine for about a week now and it is working great! I used it to power my 2 12" subs in my truck and it provides plenty of power for some excellent bass. A tip to hooking it up, you have to conect a "remote" wire to the amp where it has the connection for it or it will not turn on even though you have your 12V input from your battery hooked up. Also, when you turn it all on and you are extremely dissapointed at the amount of bass or sound you are getting out of it, turn the screw on the side that has the 2-6V written underneath it and it will turn it up immensely! This is a good buy for the price. I am older now, so I don't need for people to hear me coming a mile away; best believe though, when I turn it up, they hear me coming from 1/10 of a block away cause thats how I roll!
