I bought a similar extended screen for mobile use before. It worked pretty well, and my daughter just claimed the ownership from me, lol. Having got used to multiple display for higher efficiency, I found I still need a portable screen for my mobile working. This time, I want just 1 screen extension instead of dual (as the previous one).This Cevaton P5 portable monitor came packaged very well. First impression is over my expectations, and it seems well made. Setting up the monitor is simple and straightforward. My laptop has a full featured USB-C port. Just connect the USB-C cable to the USB-C port 1 or 2 on the back of the monitor, and it's done. The 2nd display is working.The display is bright, and the color looks vivid and accurate. The standard size of 15.6" is same as most of laptops. So switching between displays is easy.In the case the laptop doesn't support full feature USB-C, you can still enjoy this monitor extension by connecting its port #3 to the HDMI port with the provided cable. In this case, you will need to power it up since HDMI doesn't provide power. All you need is to connect its USB-C port #1 or #2 to one of the powered USB-A or USB-C port on your laptop, or an external USB power source, with the provided cable. That's easy.The mounting bracket is removable, and the display is pretty light without the mounting bracket, to make it practically portable. There is also a headphone jack on the back, which is a nice add-on if your laptop doesn't have one.Now there are some thing I think could be improved.1. The included mounting bracket, IMHO, is bulk/heavy and useless. It enable you to attach the display to the laptop display, but in a not-so-nice way. Plus, you will have to attach it to the right side of the laptop. Otherwise, the display will be upside down and I didn't find the menu option to rotate it.2. It will be nice if it comes with a foldable cover (to replace the bulk mounting bracket).3. I could understand the user guide, but it's certainly not written by a native English speaker.Overall, I like my new extension monitor which improves my mobile work experience. However, I do recommend removing the mounting bracket and get a pouch to protect the screen on the go.
