This is a solid carabiner that appears to be very well built. The ring is stout and clearly states a 5600 lbs load limit. The spring gate is relatively tight and the spring tension is good enough to snap shut but still allow for easy opening. The lock ring holds in place both when open and closed. Also, the lock ring doesn't require as many turns to open or close as other carabiners I have. This makes it a little easier and quicker to transfer between locked and unlocked. I am not a climber, but for rigging and similar activities this is going to work great.

Can never have enough of these when you're climbing. This one works well. The screw retainer threads are smooth and don't catch. The clasp moves smoothly and latches every time. It gives a nice audible and tactile snap when it's closed. That's something I have found some carabiners lack. I'm happy with this and will keep it a part of my canopy kit.

This BYANG brand “Large Carabiner Heavy Duty Clip Locking Climbing Carabiner 25kn 5608lbs Hook with Screwgate Multipurpose for Climbing, Rigging, Ropes, Hammocks” is quality gear. This rugged steel carabiner will last a lifetime of remotely proper use. Excellent for attaching to anything that’s stainless steel to prevent galvanic corrosion on long-term installations, and always non-staining. 25kN is super strong and the class rating this carries has a minimum gate break strength of 7kN so even in accidental cross loading this will offer expected strength. Always whether using for climbing or hammocks or tree limbs screw the gate fully closed for stated strengths to be met.I’ve just hung some climbing hangers at home for testing climbing setups and this will let me have my main connection line all be stainless or at minimum steel whenever this shape of carabiner will work. I also stick to steel ones by default when rigging tree limbs or equipment. This has a non-keylock nose, meaning the part that connects to the gate has a notch or hook shape to it.This single carabiner is priced right in line with value expectations and I would not hesitate to reorder as needed.

This is a nice galvanized coated steel carabiner. I would bet that the strength exceeds the rated 25KN (5.6K lb) rating. Most of my aluminum carabiners share this strength rating, but Steel is so much stronger. Perhaps this one is missing the heat treating or something. The carabiner has a nice coating, and appears to be galvanized like a Grade-8 bolt. I plan on using this on a zip-line that will get plenty of wear and tear. I did not trust AL carabiners to this much abuse. (see pic) Should do the job nicely, and the lock will help precent accidental openings.

The "Large Carabiner Heavy Duty Clip Locking Climbing Carabiner 25kn 5608lbs Hook with Screwgate Multipurpose for Climbing, Rigging, Ropes, Hammocks," which you'd think could be used for climbing since that pops up twice, cannot be used for climbing. Huh. Anyway, it's good for my purpose, which is not climbing. Most carabiners stating they can support heavy weight only give the static weight, and I don't know how to convert a hundred pound lab lunging at a chicken bone to static weight. I'm using this and a 360 degree swing swivel to make a tangle free multi leash attachment. It's overkill for my needs, but when you're trying to prevent a leash reactive 75 pound German shepherd/Rottweiler mix from breaking off his leash in pursuit of an even bigger dog, overkill is appropriate!

Large Carabiner I ordered this because our dogs are always destroying other carabiner styled clips. This large and heavy duty carabiner is good enough for mountain climbing and rappelling! With a load bearing capacity of 5608 lbs I do not think we will have to worry about the dogs tearing this one up!5 stars!Explaining my rating system:5 - a superior product - I would highly recommend4 - above average – a great choice3 - average – what one might generally expect2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

The first thing that I want to point out is that even though the item's headline description says "for Climbing, Rigging, Ropes, Hammocks " this carabiner should not be used for climbing. At the very end of the product description it says "NOT FOR CLIMBING".As carabiners go, this is the heaviest (for it's size) that I've come across. Mine weighs in at a massive 175 grams. Most of my other climbing rated carabiners with twist locks weigh in at or around 55 grams. It's CE certified and has a fairly smooth twist lock to it. Unfortunately it also has a hook nose and not a more modern key lock nose to it - which can lead to more than normal line snagging. If you need a heavy duty steel carabiner, then this isn't a bad choice. However, for a similar price, you can find a much lighter aluminum carabiner with a key lock nose that is good for climbing as well.

This is a "real" carabiner, not some car key collecting wuss, and rated at 5620 lbs. Suitable for rock climbing, suspending loads, etc. Gate snaps shut securely and knurl turns smoothly. I have a number of professional grade carabiners and this is right up there with the best I have. This is all steel construction so not aluminum alloy like some of the climbing carabiners are. I guess it makes it a little heavier but I'm not using it for mountaineering anyway so weight is not a consideration for me. Recommended.
