This is soft and great for my Magic Mouse. My only issue is that it's a hair grabber and stains easily. I would like to try to wash it, but I'm afraid it'll get damaged. However, it fits perfectly on my desk and is great to use.

really nice mat. Way bigger than I thought it would be. But I love it because it covers the entire area I need covered. Never have any issues with it moving around or anything. Easy to just wash it out in the sink and let dry. Nice and comfy

I really like this keyboard/mouse pad. I really like the color and it fits perfectly on my desk and compliments other product on desk.

I'm a bit torn on this product, I will say. It feels awfully nice, and it looks upscale as well. The grips on the bottom keep it firm in place on my desk, and I like the black color. However, the only problem is that since it is this soft felt-like material, it has already started to subtly fray in certain high-use/ high-friction places, like where my mouse is. It's a small amount, but I've only been using this for a bit less than a month or so now. I have no idea if it will continue at this rate, but I would just suggest being gentle with it, try not to spill anything on it (not that you should be doing that anyway) and if you DO spill something on it, don't use something abrasive to scrub it. All and all though, for now, I love the soft texture and the fact that it stays in place nicely. I just hope it lasts me for at least a few years.

I have this mat in gray, and while it is very aesthetically pleasing, it's not my favorite for a couple reasons.First, it's a pretty scratchy felt. I know that there are various types of felt, some of which are softer, but this is not that kind. It doesn't feel great against the skin, and considering this is generally meant to also function as a mouse pad, I can see this abrading the mouse feet over time.Second, the backing on this leaves a lot to be desired. Instead of a full non-slip, rubberized backing, this has those little non-slip dots that you sometimes find on placemats and the like. It feels cheap and doesn't add enough heft to weigh down the mat and keep it from sliding. Now onto the good things about this mat. It's large, it's really aesthetically pleasing and... yeah. Those things.

I've used leather and faux leather mouse pads and desk mats for many years. This is my first felt one. With a black mat, the initial appearance between this felt mat and my earlier leather mats is not all that different. However, I really prefer the feel of the felt.. especially in the current colder weather. The size is good as sits not only under my keyboard but under my mouse as well. Mouse tracking is just as good as it was with the leather mousepad. It's also 'deep' enough that it can sit under the front 5-6 inches of my monitor stand.Time will tell how well the material holds up versus a faux leather product. Given the low price, it would still be economical even if I have to replace it with a new one once or twice a year. FWIW, it *may* be washable though I certainly wouldn't test that theory out until absolutely necessary. The underside of the mat has anti-slip nibs which seem to work fine. However, I'm much more confident in it staying anchored under the weight of the front 5-6 inches my monitor stand, under my keyboard, etcAs you would expect it arrives rolled up rather than in a large flat box. As a result there is some minor curling out of the box but over time gravity does it's job and it flattens out. Because the felt is more pliable than leather, the process is pretty fast. All in all, I find this to be a great alternative to the leather and faux leather mats I've used in the past.

I ordered mat after recently making a new desk with a natural oiled wood finish. To complete it, I was also looking for something a little more natural looking to protect it from the mouse and to silence my sliding keyboard. I had been lukewarm on all of the rubbery neoprene stitched edge mousepad type desk mats for sale and found the leather ones to be too expensive at any reasonable size.Sizing and fit:Another reviewer has complained about size. Calling the largest size "too small" when being provided with the exact measurements in the listing is hard for me to understand, since 1 inch = 1 inch. Every desk is going to have different dimensions. Is it too small for a conference table? Is it too large for a TV tray? Relative size is inherently relative, and this item is true to the advertised size. You have to measure your workspace, since being surprised that the sizing provided in the listing is accurate to the item you received is not an actual problem.I ordered the 31.4"x15.7" size. My desk measures 48" x 25". If you have a similar setup, you can see in my photos that I have the popular NZXT H510 PC case on the desk which occupies 8.2" width of my 25", leaving me with 16.8" to work with maximum, so this fit just magnificently if your setup is similar. The photos show what it looks like when you have 1.1" of space left on the desk front-to-back, and as you can see nothing touching. If you want to build the same desk yourself, many big box home center stores in the US sell a butcher block countertop of this size, which I just attached some legs to and applied the finish I liked, and slapped this mat on top of. Very happy with the end result.Look and feel:I ordered the grey color variant. I was back and forth between this and the black and I'm glad I chose grey, to contrast against both my light desk and my black mouse and keyboard. It's hard to tell if the felt is actually natural wool felt, I suspect it is not, since it does not have any frays or pilling, and is uniform and dense throughout. These are especially nice qualities for a high contact, high friction surface. It is not itchy like wool or cool to the touch like neoprene. There is a sewn on PU/Vegan 'leather' brand embossed logor reading 'Anstron' on one edge in the very center. The stitching matches the tag and the embossing doesn't have any unsightly stamped inlay. The tag does have a slight gloss to it, so it won't be mistaken for actual leather, but I suppose this keeps the mat more affordable. I've left a leather covered notebook on the desk so you can see the difference, but leather comes in a ton of finishes, so I wouldn't say its a dealbreaker. The rubbery grip dots on the bottom do a wonderful job of keeping the mat from moving or sliding while using the mat. It arrived rolled in a cardboard box, so there were no fold lines or creases to ruin the appearance, and it flattened rather quickly when unrolled onto the desk.Improvements:The only improvement I could suggest is entirely trivial, and would just be using real leather for the tag, or putting the nonsense company name Anstron only on the bottom of the brown tag since it only exists for an aesthetic improvement anyway, but this would probably only increase costs with little if any benefit.
