The fasteners that keep this cage together are weak so some animals could push apart the panels and escape. The cage is flimsy and noisy. The metal clanks together and makes enough noise when touched to scare off some animals. The door slams down hard enough to injure a tail or leg that may be in the way. There are sharp edges all around the cage that can easily cut through paws. The holes in the cage are large enough for the animal to get a leg or arm through and a panicked creature can easily break a limb.I need to be transporting an animal in an enclosed vehicle. I don't want to be worried about a frightened, injured, bloody critter in a noisy, flimsy cage, escaping while I'm driving.I was able to return the cage but if I couldn't, this would be going in the trash because I still wouldn't use it.

I had it catch two racoons, but let one get away (i assume due to the flimsiness that let the door pop open).I am going to modify it with two steel L brackets near the front door and that should fix it. Had to tie wrap the back opening in four places to get it to solidly stay closed. An annoyance: the long rod between the trip plate and the swinging door latch keeps fallilng out when it gets tripped. You have to re-thread the end into the trip plate every time. Not a big deal, but i was going to go in there and try to figure out how to permanently attach it to the trip plate. So yes it can take a big racoon. but will need a little work on your part to get it perfect.

The cage was large enough to capture the large raccoon. He was not harmed and released miles away from where we live. It was a win win for him and everyone living in our condos. Thank you!!

Confusing nomenclature. Instructions don't explain, what is "side baffle door" -- "square fixing bar"? -- Had to add Zip Ties to hold the end panel to the sides. Engineering oversight. -- Set up for Fox killing chickens, but have not caught anything in it yet.

This trap worked great. It was easy to assemble and it's very sturdy. The trap was a little heavy for me after I trapped the raccoon. He was pretty big but I was able to get help to transport it and relocate the raccoon to a safer place.

This large live cage animal trap exceeded my expectations in terms of effectiveness and convenience. It's the perfect size for capturing larger animals, and the setup process was straightforward. I appreciate how easy it is to set up and break down for storage when not in use. I'm satisfied with the trap's performance and would recommend it to others with similar needs.
