"Where has this been all my life?" I really hate using that one but I am in love with this thing. First, before I use too many words and lose you, it can be extremely dangerous. There is no second chance if you get a finger in the way. You will be on your way to the E.R. to have it, or them, sewn back on. Good news is, though, it will be a very clean cut. There, I've warned you, so on with the review if you're still with me.I fully charged the batteries before first use. I then commenced to cutting.... ad cutting... and cutting some more. From grass to limbs the size of a quarter. It zips right through them. And stuff it couldn't cut right through, I just cut on a different side and let it take it off with 2 or 3 cuts instead of 1. I cut saplings off at the ground. I cut low hanging limbs. I cut exposed roots left behind after some grading. I think my favorite thing is how it cuts through the small stuff. Try clearing vines with a chainsaw. Using this I was clearing muscadines, honeysuckle, saw briars, and poison ivy. It doesn't bend and flex the vines it just snips them right off. The blades are sharp, the motor is strong and the battery outlasted my supply of things to cut. But that's ok, I have more in another area to cut. Actually, an endless supply. I'll be testing this thing to its limits. It will go dormant after a couple of minutes of no use. Just hit the trigger a couple of times and it'll wake back up. Or hold the trigger 5 seconds and the blades will close and stay closed for safety. But seriously, this thing will take your finger off in the blink of an eye. Keep it away from kids and drunk adults. Be careful and stay alert and don't hurt yourself.Did I mention I love this thing? Can I give it 6 stars?

This is for "LazGarden Electric Pruning Shears, Portable Power Tree Pruner Branch Cutter, Cordless Gardening Scissors, Cutting Diameter 30mm (1.18inch), with 2 Pack Battery Included (3.0)"Received decent quality blow molded hard plastic tool case containing the pruning shears, two 21v batteries, charger, tools, small oil container half full with oil, and instruction manual. Overall quality of tool is average, batteries slot in easily. The very hard to press power button turns on the tool. Easier to use a small flat blade screwdriver or similar tool to press it in vs a finger, which would also work better when wearing gardening gloves.Left LED is the battery voltage level (green = high, yellow = medium, red = low). The four leds to the left of the power button indicate the blade width setting. Tool defaults to largest setting. Double pull of trigger unlocks the shears. Shears lock again after a minute unused. Tested out with some branches and it definitely slows down with 3/4" or larger diameter branches. Performance also depends on wood hardness. The two battery packs are listed as 2Ah and this is accurate after measuring current draw with tester. Batteries take 2-3 hours to charge using the provided barrel jack charger.Replacement batteries are readily available as many of the other no name brands use the same pack (two prongs with third prong near one of the two prongs). Makita batteries can also be used, but make sure you check the battery level on the Makita pack and stop when it gets down to one bar. There are other 21v tools which can use the included 21v packs, such as mini chainsaw and hedge trimmer. As of this review, two battery version (3.0) is $69.99, no discounts.
