Remove old finial by turning counter clockwise.
Place the shade over the harp's threaded stud, then install finial by turning clockwise.

Love the look, but had some difficulty screwing the finial onto my lamp. Threads were wonky. Eventually, it worked, but I'm wondering if there will be issues taking it off and on should that be necessary.
