Family Owned
Snowshoe was incorporated in the Fall of 1927 in Portland, Oregon. Jack Dees (far right), a Navy veteran from World War II, purchased the company in the 1950s for his father (far left) to keep him busy after retirement from a career in the railroad business. Since then, this small family business has been passed down four generations. Each generation learns from the next, growing the business and brand putting quality first.

I like that this does not contain petroleum distillates. Use it as the second step in restoring leather - after cleaning. Expensive, but a little goes a long way.

I have some older/vintage leather boots that needed some good TLC, this Snowshoe leather conditioner really brought my old boots back to life! I also applied some to one of my vintage leather purses and it worked just as well. The vintage leather soaked up the conditioner instantly, no oily or tacky residue afterwards leather not only looks better but it feels better! It’s softer and smoother than ever! 5-stars, highly recommend!

I got this Snowshoe brand leather conditioner to try on my very worn boots. I was immediately impressed that this product didn't have a strong odor, honestly it didn't have much of an odor. That's a good thing since it states to apply the product by hand, and you wouldn't want unpleasant odors or harsh chemicals on your hands. The conditioner looks solid in the container but as soon as I got some in my hand for application it started melting. That is nice since that means I won't have to heat my boots to get the conditioner to absorb into the leather. The conditioner goes on really well and soaks in over a short amount of time. It suggested 2 coats, but I was happy after just one coat on my boots. This leather conditioner did darken the leather ever so slightly, not an issue but should be noted, and it did a wonderful job moisturizing and restoring the leather on my boots. The leather is softer than ever and doesn't look like it has suffered the abuse that I know it has been through. Oddly we haven't had much rain since I used it, but morning dew hasn't bothered the conditioner in the week that I've had it on my boots.The instructions say you can "polish" the leather goods after the conditioner dries, but personally I don't polish boots because I work in my boots so I can't vouch for that aspect. I can say that this leather conditioner goes on easy and is protecting my boots as I speak. I am very happy with this product so far and I don't foresee any issues with it. I will be adding this to my saved list to buy again.

i've tried many different snow and moisture sealants and water proofing, so time is the real test. we're off to a good start, but the instructions are very simple, basic, and unhelpful. i'd recommend googling some videos or instructions to help you find a process that suits your needs, to get the stuff best applied for your situation. many of the items in the space share overlapping application techniques. this is an item that definitely needs further updates and review over time to see how effective the stuff is. there are a lot of items in the space to compete with. the container came with with no seal under the lid. and the lid isn't air tight. it was leaking into the box it arrived in. i wish it had been a completely sealed container.

Snowshoe Leather Conditioner is easy to use and effective in bringing tired, dull leather back to looking great. My boots needed some help and I simply wiped them clean with a damp rag and applied the Snowshoe Conditioner to the leather and rubbed it in. Easy! The pic shows the boot on the right after being treated. The boot on the left is untreated. So happy I found this leather conditioner. Can’t wait to use it to revive all my leather products!
