The picture shows a perfect beam of light toward the ring. This is an unrealistic expectation. The light is in the lid ad illustrated but simply illuminates the box. Like when opening the fridge. Still pretty cool.

Products worked just fine very sturdy great value, the lighting on this when it hit her engagement ring would take your breath away made everything sparkle. I used this to propose and she now uses it to store the ring in when doing odds and ends but get it for a normal ring state champ ring thats got a large face will likely not fit.

Picked this up to add some extra bling to a ring I purchased, and it worked amazing. Simple led light and a basic but well made black ring box. For the cost of the ring, this $10 box was worth it for the brightness and sparkle it added to the presentation. Highly recommended.

This was bought to serve as a presentation case for an award pin. The box is simple and beautiful and very well made. When the recipient opened it up and the light came on to shine on the pin, it turned the award event into something very special. I think he liked this gift box as much as the award! I know it was intended for an engagement ring, but it worked wonderfully for the pin. In addition, the box the lighted ring box came in was also simple and elegant. The whole package was wonderful! I will be buying more of these. Extremely high value for the money!
